He’s a good stop gap but not a long term solution.

I think he was more or less brought in as an "appease the fans" appointment. Bring in an ex-player who is fondly remembered for the 99 Champions League win  to get over Van Gaal and Moyes.

Such appointments are often a bust.

he was brought in as an interim, won 11 or something on the bounce, and he is remember for far more than the 99 CL Final, their CEO is clueless in matters of football, should've let him be the  interim until the end of that season.

Glad to see that VAR ruining games isn't just confined to the Premier League.

It made the Liverpool game even more entertaining than it might have been, because the commentators whining about decisions they decided were incorrect, made it pretty funny.

Seems like we're getting closer to a decision on post 2024 European football with some news reports saying this been officially put forward by UEFA.
Using the coefficient proposal would make it fairly likely that at least 5 English teams would be in the CL every year, with 6 possible. Taking this to the extreme and thinking back to the Leeds relegation of 03/04, I believe they would have made the CL during their 1st season in the Championship under these proposals.
