vikingTON
Not convinced that Spurs will keep a clean sheet but they've been very good so far. Extremely well organised and carried a real threat early in the half as well. It's remarkable what you can do once sand-dancers like Alli are punted into the wilderness first. -

Jim McLean's Ghost
Really smart of Pep to extend his contract before City realised he is a busted flush.

jagfox
Hojbjerg signing a great bit of business. Just what was needed for Spurs. A Mourinho masterclass from Spurs tonight. Citeh? Huffed and puffed but little to show for their efforts.
peasy23
Never was Ebbe Skovdahl's "statistics" quote more apt. Peak Mourinho performance by Spurs.

It's difficult to work out what his top level gameplan even is any more: it just seems to be generic 'pass the ball, be attacking, score goals (and don't bother defending properly)' instructions on repeat right now, until he gets to an important CL game and bottles it. He hasn't been adding anything much above what a replacement level coach could do with that squad and resources for 15 months now. Bairnardo
Citys decline really is quite something in just a year or so. They were untouchable the season they pipped Liverpool to the title. In that short time, they have managed to transform themselves into a pretty sizable rebuilding job, which will hopefully get significantly bigger once KDB decides that he is so far above them he has to go elsewhere.
raith_94
Guardiola's City are Arsene's Arsenal after the first couple of decent albums. Complete with contract extensions.
Chewing Taffies
All the money that Man City and Man Utd have spent, why wouldn't you spunk it all on Harry Kane. Boy is miles ahead of of anything they have up front and in midfield!
Theroadlesstravelled
Have Man City spent that much recently? The replacements they brought in for players that have left have been shite.

There are no tactics that involve trying to score, goals and defending are almost by products of that style. Eventually with enough chances the players will get it right and the opposition will never have the ball enough to mount an attack. It worked 5 years ago but now other teams are smarter and Guardiola hasn't changed. 10 goals in 8 games says it all. There is nothing in the game plan to turn possession into a good shot on goal.
Trackdaybob
Stonewaller pen for West Brom denied by VAR. Get it in the fucking sea. Utd very, very lucky there. Mind, if the lad had hit it first time, he'd likely score.
Trackdaybob
And of course Utd get their penalty. f**k me!!!! Just twist the knife
Arch Stanton
VAR is a joke at times, that was a stonewall penalty to WBA. As Peter Walton said, VAR is only there to highlight clear and obvious errors by the Ref which clearly wasn't the case.
