Brown's had a good career but if he thinks getting booked for taunting anyone, no matter their pay grade, rather than as the captain congratulating his team mate who scored a winning goal on his debut, sets a good example, then Lennon should maybe have a rethink about the leadership qualities of the man.

Lennon is clearly projecting on Brown, so the idea of dumping an ageing, past it, CM captain,  and effectively ending their career, is never happening.

Let's be honest, its the only reason Butcher gets a game, albeit he hasn't mastered the wind-up part.

The Arabs have a good balance of player in the middle of the park Butcher and Connolly will pick up a few cards as the season goes on, Pawlett has the experience and Harkes offers that little bit of extra quality.

Something inside so strong

No really. United did well as a team and nearly got something. Connolly clearly cant cope with any pace at this level and resorts to endless fouling ably assisted by a ref that let it go on and on.  The free kick picture is for a laugh (failed clearly with you, sorry about that). That's about it.

Been very impressed with Harkes this season, and he was never a player who looked that great in the Championship. His shooting is appalling though

Yeah, really pleased for him tbh. He's definitely matured over the last couple of years.

Looks like hes finally screwed the nut. To be fair to him hes worked under some buffoons and hung out to dry many a time with lack of decent support in front of him.

Good on him.

I was very impressed with Harkes yesterday. Looked good in possession and strong running with the ball.

If not for a mistake by your goalie, who had a good game up until them, you would have taken a well deserved point.

Brown's entire contribution to yesterday's game was shouting at Connolly, and being told to "shoosh" by Dallas on at least two occasions.

Leader.

The subtlety of Dallas trying to influence the game was on show yesterday, twice blowing the whistle before the ball reached the box from Celtic corners plus stopping the game and not playing advantage when Celtic were attacking constantly trying to frustrate the players as the game went on,the stop start refereeing style didn't help the game

Looks like a player that can pick a pass maybe not as good as Turnbull or Allan but decent enough to get a few assist for the strikers.

When you compare his actions and behaviour to some of the class acts Celtic have had as captains over the years both on and off the pitch, Bertie Peacock, Danny McGrain, Paul McStay, Roy Aitken to name a few it’s night and day. Those 4 guys were gentleman, respected the Celtic captaincy and were leaders. Brown should read about them.

I am still finding it weird that my opinions on Scott Brown have only been going up for a while. This helped of course because it's funny, but it had been going up before then. Just his way of being able to wind anyone up is too funny for me not to enjoy.

Especially when he’s completely past it.

The guy committed foul after foul for 90 minutes and was close to getting Edouard carried off whilst the ref did feck all.

An awful referee and a snide wee c**t, totally at it yesterday.

The orange doesn’t fall far from the tree.
