Lex
Stevie Clark is no saviour.Scraped into the euros via new back door. Not much improvement tbh since he took over! It’s a fantastic achievement and all that... but to qualify we won a group with Israel and Albania in it and then won a penalty shoot out against Israel and another penalty shoot against Serbia. All very well saying he’s the first manager to qualify since 19canteen, but no other has had such an easy qualification route open to them.

We played well enough to win that, we just didn’t get the breaks. Slightly worried that our front three pressed inconsistently and exposed our midfield too often. And leaving McTominay to defend 1 on 1 is suboptimal. Let’s hope that Clarke recognises that some of the deadwood in the squad needs cleared out - Burke & Griffiths aren’t capable of playing international football at the minute. Dykes had a poor game overall tonight. Nothing stuck with him the way it normally does. Christie also kept making the wrong decision and McGinn just looked knackered. Armstrong and Fraser should be first choice there with Dykes. Positives are O’Donnell and McGregor looked good, and Jack and Gallagher were fine. Important to remember this team is still developing and it’ll take time for things to gel. Players are still learning how to play in the system and with each other. I think Dykes is worth persisting with but he needs someone up beside him to feed off him. A cannibal!? -
DA Baracus
There's some folk on here who seem to have the emotional maturity of a toddler given the wild over reactions tonight and on Thursday. Some folk had us in the quarter finals of the Euros Thursday night and some folk have us getting absolutely pumped in every game now. Tonight was disappointing and fairly poor, but we've still a long way to go and plenty of time to sort things. Calm it down.

Gordopolis
It's our continued obsession of playing players because of which club they are at Gallagher, O'Donnell

They did for Euro 2020 qualifying. Don't see them abandoning it. We'll need to win Division B to avoid Pot 3... finishing 2nd-bottom in Division A is 50/50 for Pot 1. Fine margins; big effects.

roverthemoon
Very poor tonight from Scotland. Israel easily the more creative team. ‘We created more chances’ is an excuse. The game is about scoring goals. Why take McGinn off? He was our most creative midfielder
Todd_is_God
In terms of future seedings, do tournament results not carry much more weight than anything else? 4 points at the Euros would make a big impact

Stellaboz
I'm still calm about our chances, we're looking decent if still missing something in the final third and we look so much better than before Clarke took over.
NFL12
We are definitely playing better in the sense that we look good. Just up until we have to put the ball in the net. Fix that and we really would be happy - easier said than done though.

So it’s hard to criticise a team or manager for that. i totally agree , the manager cant go on the pitch and put it in the net for them.

Les Cabbage
Based on the 6 (six) games against them, Israel (fucking Israel) are a better team than us. Bye bye hope and optimism. Gordopolis
Disappointing tonight, clearly we need a bit more 'click' up front. Fraser and a fit Griffiths will help with that.On the whole though, Clarke got us organised to win the game that mattered most. I trust him to sort out the weakness up front too.
