pantene proV
Keeps the points column ticking over. Good enough for me
Scary Bear
Ah well, the draws continue. Maybe try and get another win either at Alloa or home to QoS.
TxRover
Matthews getting too many yellows so far...not good. Terrible surface, acceptable result, and now a shitty drive home without a shower. Edited to correct poor memory. CALDERON
We didn't deserve to win that. For all we controlled possession at times, we were really poor in the final third. We are still missing something to turn these into wins when the passing play isn't creating chances. That said, it's another game where we have committed ourselves very well. We certainly don't look out of place. Ayr are boring to watch, but defended superbly and created good chances. Much like our 17 18 squad.
R.R.FC
Draw just about fair I would say. We were the better side on the ball and controlled most of the game but Ayr had the best chances. Would have taken a draw before the game and pretty happy with the overall performance and clean sheet. We have shown goals won’t be a problem for us this season, just an off night in that regard. Think that’s where we miss another attacking player on the bench. Having Vaughan off the bench tonight would have really helped. Musonda strolled it, man of the match for me but MacDonald made a couple of excellent stops. Edited December 11, 2020 by R.R.FC
buchan30
Given the goals conceded last week, a clean sheet is a bonus.
No_Problemo
Positives being that the defence was excellent. Smith would obviously have made a difference, hopefully Walsh too. We could do with something different up front.

Armstrong had one of his games where nothing he hits goes anywhere close to where it should.

Lars works more from a little further out...disappointed we didn’t see Ugwu instead.

renton
Duku had some good movement but wasn't really aggressive enough at the second balls. Thought Lokotsch made a positive difference when he came on.
roverthemoon
Strange game. Rovers the better footballing side but Ayr had the better chances. Keeps us motoring and racking up the points. Jamie McDonald or Musonda the man of the match. Biggest disappointment tonight was Dan Armstrong. His set pieces were terrible. Almost Cardle-esque. If he’d been able to deliver we would have won that game.
Michael W
That second half was shite. Dreadful decision making and execution in the final third, and those fucking set pieces as well. That free kick from Armstrong at the end was rage inducing - just why bother? Better team first half but I agree with Macdonald as MoM - he won us the point.
embow
At least we didn't get beat. Getting anything from Ayr away is always welcome. This was the battle for fourth place as both Pars and ICT should be able to take second and third spot over the season.

Quite similar to zannata in that regard.
Raith Against The Machine
Funny game, that. Ayr only really getting into the final third four or five times but looking like they might score every time they did. The rest of the game was played in Ayr's half, but we couldn't really manage a meaningful final ball all night. Armstrong probably the epitome of that - his movement was brilliant but he couldn't do anything to get the ball to Duku or Lokotsch. I thought we firmly controlled the first half, and then Ayr clearly had a better plan after half time. As time went on, you could see how visibly Hendry, Armstrong and Tait tired, and at a certain point we stopped controlling the game. Between this week and last week, we've gone toe to toe with two of the better sides in the division and probably been the better side in both games. A little frustrating not to win either one, but a wee bit more development and this team could be very good indeed.
