Pars vs Lichties

Recommended Posts

We were totally shite today, bar a 20 minutes spell split in to each half where we played decent stuff. That’s the results that make the difference between mid-table obscurity and a play-off l, though. Arbroath’s problem is they have nothing up front. Defensively, they were absolutely on point today, apart from the goal. But, when you take ourselves for example, we have guys like O’Hara, who would probably start for every team out with the top 3, to bring off the bench, and he notches the winner. Levels.

Mind when folk were discussing if Thomas is Premiership class, with some saying they were surprised he wasn't signed by a Premiership team?
Games like today show why he is playing in the Championship. He's put in plenty of effort but hardly anything has come off for him and his crosses and passing have been poor.
The whole team have been lacklustre today though. In fact we've been poor for weeks and it's becoming very concerning.

He was your best player.

We played with no urgency and absolutely no directness at all. It was all wide or bouncing off McManus who was fucking shite today, like most weeks but without a penalty or goal out of nowhere. Still, 3 points is absolutely brilliant and somehow managed a clean sheet. Arbroath looked really dece today and Craigan was running the show at times, really good player and hope you guys stay up this season. As long as AJ stays at Queens, I'm sure you will.

Nah. First half he did nothing except fail to score from his chance. Second half was more like him and when we switched him to the right it was better, especially with Comrie in support.

Thought Turner was great today despite our shiteness and Flappy hands Williams did well.

Can't win games if you cant score - 4 goals in 9 games is a horrific stat and is relegation form no matter how well you play or how close games are. To leave our main goal scoring threat on the bench 2 games in a row is baffling. If he's injured then don't have him on the bench in the first place.
