It's generally expected to make moves faster than that , but given the asynchronous nature of everyone's lifestyles here, it would be tricky to organize any significantly stricter time controls. (There is a rule about finishing your games within 2 weeks, that hasn't been strictly enforced, but it is on the books in case slow turnarounds becomes a problem).
