Did they move and were tight enough to take their door number with them? I suppose they just got a new number for the door. Of course if it doesn't sell they could always spray it green and call it a tribute to Scott Brown.

WhiteRoseKillie
Neil Young used to drive around in a hearse back in the day. Yep, called it "Mort". He has had some "different" vehicles over the years, mind.

Shortly after my parents bought their matrimonial home in the 1960s, the council built 5 new houses on a plot of land along the road. Rather than introducing a new street name or using suffix letters, the council simply chose to renumber the houses. My parents fell asleep one night in No. 21 and woke up the next morning in No. 31. The resulting chaos with bank accounts and land registry entries was still causing them problems 40 years later. To complicate the street even more, there’s no No. 13. Instead the houses are numbered 11, 11A, 15. Edited March 20, 2021 by Funky Nosejob

Instead the houses are numbered 11, 11A, 15. Went to a job in Kilmarnock town centre one day. Rang the door and when answered said I'm here to fix whatever. Fella sighed heavily and said, you want next door. He then, very patiently to be fair to him, explained that this happens constantly as there are a block of houses in the middle of the street which are called a different street name, just these 4 in the middle of a large street, and the numbers are the same, next door to each other but for a few feet between them. Absurd.
