Its a done deal. Wee fat George rushed it through now so his mob can have one last hurrah before they're dust in a year and he can get what he really wants, his free season ticket at Ibrox.

Wait? Is that c**t still on the LL board? I thought he’s been punted.

Don't worry, it's just for one year.

Purely for illustration and to show how ridiculously out of touch the SFA are.

SFA threat if there was a NO VOTE was for a Tier 5 Conference featuring (more or less) :-    Rangers B, Celtic B, Hearts B, Aberdeen B,   Buckie, Brechin, Brora, Formartine, Fraserburgh, Inverurie, Spartans, University of Stirling, Tranent, East Kilbride, Berwick Rangers, Civil Service Strollers.

How many Fitbaw fans would get excited with that set up (#Guff)

That would still require those six clubs to join a new league, or would it just take one or two for the rest of them to jump and not be left out?

Its the SFA - they'll do what they want.

4 B teams and 3 "invited" Judas clubs from the HL and LL to give them a conference of 10 - they want the B teams to win it to stop the pyramid. The likes of Stenhousemuir, Albion and Stranraer are shitting it about their inevitable relegations out of the SPFL and will gladly support the B teams if it means their feeble bed blocking offer nothing clubs get to stay in the league structure.

The thought of being relegated in to a reserve/conference is surely even worse than going in to the HL or LL?

Exactly. Albion Rovers needing a result at Aberdeen Colts on the last day ofthe season. I’d imagine that would a mouthwatering prospect!

Not yet created teams being shoe horned in too.  Screw you Alison

Surely any attempt to shoehorn the new 5th division would need all league clubs to vote for it? If so, I’m sure St Mirren will vote against

The plan is for the Conference League to be run as a separate entity outwith the SPFL. That way the SFA can set it up without it going to a vote of the SPFL clubs.

Why though? Maxwell et al have given no coherent reason for this that stands up to any scrutiny

Yes, but the SPFL Playoff involves the 3 leagues and SPFL. Which is why the Highland, Lowland, lower division SPFL sides not keen on the Conference can fight shoehorning in a new league body.

If that is the case, then how can they enforce relegation from league 2?

There was talk of the joining fee for the colts being £100,000 each per season, so I suppose some of that could go to cushioning club 42 if they lost the playoff.
