Joey Jo Jo Junior Shabadoo
Were 51% of foreign students turning up in halls with their grannies up until yesterday?
scottsdad
Some Masters students come with family. Wives and kids. They pay huge amounts and keep universities afloat. But these rules have already started tanking the numbers. This will lead to job losses in higher education. All for an electioneering slogan.

It will also mean that people who do come here to study will be less likely to stay on afterwards, reducing the levels of specialist and advanced knowledge in the economy and harming productivity. Still, fewer foreigners is good because of erm, something, eh?

Remind me. is it more financially advantageous for a MP to resign (and get various severance payments) than it is to be beaten at an election? They get nothing if they resign mid Parliament.
