Bellingcat came up with a fabulous theory for why they were there. ICTChris
Prigozhin comments https://meduza.io/en/feature/2023/06/26/we-gave-a-master-class The question is - the law he was protesting against is still due to go into force on July 1st. Has anything changed? Will Wagner cease to exist then?
ICTChris
Putin to make a number of announcements tonight according to Russian media.
coprolite
I haven't been paying attention. Did this definitely actually happen or is it all a really convoluted "look over here!" before booting Ukraine square in the nuts?

welshbairn
Seems like there's a new ex Russian Prime Minister whom I've never heard of coming out of the woodwork every day to slag off Putin, he should really have given them a better share of the loot.

Still think Yeltsin trails the Conservatives, at least in terms of time in office per holder.
ICTChris
Putin days in his speech that those who organised the rebellion are traitors and will be brought to justice. Wagner can either sign up with the MoD, go to Belarus or go home. How will Prigozhin react? How will Wagner troops react?
ClydeTon
Go to Belarus and stop fighting the war. Means that Wagner get to piss the Russians off, means the Russian war effort is f**ked (forcing Russia to come back with more agreeable terms) or have to send in more experienced (and valuable) units. Basically means that Wagner can (at least try and) strangle the Russians, politically.

And screwed everyone he could," fumed one online poster claiming to be a Wagner fighter on a Telegram channel with 200,000 followers. LongTimeLurker
Igor Girkin's take: Cue tired patter about windaes etc but how can you say we'll go after the organisers one second then turn around and say the Wagner dudes can head home or go to Belarus the next? Does that include the guys who shot down the 7 Russian military aircraft? Can see why Igor isn't impressed. Wonder why the "potato man" as he appears to be referred to in ex-CCCP circles delayed his speech. Did Vlad do something that deviated from a pre-agreed script?
