Doubt its the only one in scotland tbf, but i cant fathom gambling away an entire restaraunt so casually. The Ruby? That's certainly been the rumour for many years. As long as they don't change the dragon picture at the top of the stairs then I don't mind. It's been a land mark painting there since at least the late 70s.

I think thats the one yeah, down on the waterfront. Tbf thinking on it actually the name may well not have changed just the owners, theres one across from the central station that i might have been getting it mixed up with.
Crawford Bridge
Uncle's on George IV Bridge is the worst take away in central Edinburgh. Undercooked frozen chips, fish like cardboard and donner meat with those wee white hard bits in it. Also overpriced, avoid at all costs. -

invergowrie arab
I got a white pudding supper twice in one night from pizza crolla once. I was mortal and just missed my train after supper #1 and with 90 minutes to kill I had a few pints in Dows and then decided I fancied another.

That Pizza Crolla seems to be entirely predicated towards the alcoholically-disadvantaged heading towards Queen St. I've got a sneaky suspicion however that you might have been in more of a nick than you realised - white pudding isn't really a thing in Glasgow chippies, so there's a good chance you had two haggises

I doubt that you’ve tried every takeaway in central Edinburgh. Accordingly your claim that this place is the worst must be viewed as the teenage schoolgirl-esque exaggeration of a drama queen and therefore disregarded. If however, you edit your post by , for instance , adding the words “that I’ve had” at the end of the first sentence then what’s left of your credibility may just about be salvaged and we can all move on from this whole sorry episode.

Alex_14
Pizza paradise in the middle of Edinburgh is a laugh. Only food place open past 3am as far as I know. Pissed up revellers sitting down for a meal at 5am is megalolz.

The Pizza Crolla on Buchanan Street was genuinely decent although they price gouged like f**k in previous years. The Hope Street branch was sold off I think to a different franchise owner who took it further down the Three in One route - which is a handy red flag for 'probably shite takeaway' anywhere. Who would have predicted in the 1970s that Glasgow Central would have more Japanese izakaya style joints (three within spitting distance on Bothwell/Hope Street alone) than chip shops though. A true cultural revolution.
vikingTON
NB: The failure/refusal of the FEBO street vending machines to branch out from The Netherlands is a terrible missed opportunity.

Maybe they’ve tailored their menu towards them.

Cosmic Joe
Is there such a thing as a decent fish supper in Glasgow City centre? They don't even seem to have grasped the concept of frying to order.

They do fry to order, problem is you need to order on a wednesday and pick it up 2 days later after its been stewing in the fry sauna (?) for 48 hours to soften it up.
