Monkey Tennis
St Johnstone doing their best here to prove that last season was no flash in the pan. We’ve looked lively enough at times to suggest we should at least be able to win some matches in our new habitat.

He's playing on my side the now and he's gotten into a couple of half decent positions but the players have failed to pass to him. Is this a usual occurrence? Hopefully they continue to come down the right as you've looked far more effective going down the left. He was useless on the ball against Annan so the players are probably reluctant to give him it as the ball will just end up going backwards. Sideways/backwards passes and no running with the ball is just how he plays. Genuinely staggering our manager has decided wing back is his position in competitive games.

PauloPerth
I don’t think any team has gone through as one of the best runners up on 8 points (if we even get that!), so only winning the group would see us through. Annan 6 points ahead of us and 5 goals better off. We would need Ayr to win at Annan and us to beat Elgin and Ayr, with one of those matches needing a 3 goal margin to go level. Basically, we’re oot. That being the case, hopefully Annan finish the job, would be a great achievement by them.
RandomGuy.
Disappointed to miss Palmerston but hopefully get a chance to revisit next season, if QOS can help continue the Dunfermline/Falkirk banter years. Good luck with the season ahead.

RandomGuy.
Chances of us going through now are slim to none, IMO. Only 3 teams go through as runner ups this season, so 8pts feels unlikely to be enough.

Elgin are on 0 points with a minus 7 GD.

JessieField
Ayr can still win the section with 9 points...... hopefully they beat Annan first
Cardle is Magic
Annan just need a point vs Ayr on Tuesday night and they'll have won the group. Could win it with 8 points if results go their way. Can't imagine many - if any - L2 sides have qualified through the group stage never mind won their section. Would be some achievement.
Another Edin Doonhamer
Only one thing to say. How did Lee Connelly miss that chance? If you wanted the chance to fall to anyone, he would be the man. Thought we played well today, and it was a really good game. And, for the first time this season, I managed to get home to Edinburgh on the same day as the game took place, just, by 21 minutes. Looking forward to going to Elgin next week. Hope Ayr can beat Annan to make things interesting. Ok, that was more than one thing, but, whatever!!!
Radford
I wasn't confident about yesterday and the performance wasn't even a surprise to me, despite almost plumbing new depths at times. We looked a team without direction, motivation, invention, aggression or belief. We somehow salvaged a draw in the 90 minutes because of two individual moments of quality due to the fact we have some Premiership-standard players and were playing League One opposition but Queen of the South not only looked but were the better team. We aren't even at their level at the moment. Other than Murphy creating a couple of goals out of nothing and Kucheriavyi displaying the characteristics described above that all his teammates were missing, there was nothing to salvage from the performance, unless reinforcing the belief that a number of these players aren't good enough is a positive. Some of the others aren't bad players. The squad isn't great but it's not quite as bad as it currently seems under this manager and hopefully someone new might be able to get a tune out of it with a few additions in key areas. The above might all sound like it is provoked by anger but my overriding emotion watching the game and even now with the concern that Callum Davidson might remain in charge is apathy. Watching his team is going to be a miserable experience if it is a prolonged one. See you all in Elgin on Tuesday evening...
Radford
Oh and I thought Queens looked decent. League One should be some league this season.
