Highland ITFC
Huge game for Cumbernauld who are so far 9-1 down on aggregate vs Tranent this season. following the 4-0 cup loss on Tuesday & 5-1 league defeat earlier in the campaign. Given that Tranent also trounced EK a while back, & have games in hand over all teams currently above them, they are very much pushing to show that they're the second best team in the league. Colts will need at least a point if they're to give themselves the best chance of claiming that second spot themselves come season-end.

We haven't been playing like the second-best team, at least since the turn of the year. Maybe with the exception of Tuesday night. Need to capitalise at home in the final games as haven't been as strong at Foresters in the league this season as we'd have probably expected.
Ginaro
Hope my maths is right, but I think an EK win v Bo'ness and a draw between Tranent and Cumbernauld Colts means the title is won? Or a win for either in the latter fixture just delays the inevitable and means the other one is out of the running.
welshbairn
With the number of players going through their books it wouldn't surprise me if EK get a hefty points deduction for fielding ineligible players.
ekok
Don't normally take the bait. Outrageous scurrilous accusation. I can guarantee we might lose points on the pitch but we will never ever trip up off the pitch. We have a 100% backroom team good as or better than anyone in Scottish Football.

They must be the busiest back room team in Scottish football with the amount of players going in and out. Must spend some amount of money on stationery as well as players!

I assume it's like Gordon Daziel coming in after Claude Anelka at Raith and some of the old signings are just doing odd jobs around the ground now.

Thanks for bringing back that memory of July 2004 when we visited Starks in the League Cup and Raith were a division above us but we outclassed Clod (a more appropriate spelling) and his team 2-0.

Highland ITFC
Top 5 looking very competitive for the next month or so's final run-in. Great work from Bo'ness to keep things alive & interesting. EK couldn't throw it away, could they? Cumbernauld will be ruing all their draws, as only one defeat worse off than EK. Another one yesterday, although after midweek & the 5-1 loss earlier in the season, they'll likely see it as a point gained. Anybody at the game & able to offer a report?

Would be some end to the season if they did against clubs with nothing to play for. EK are away to Broomhill, CSS, Albion Rovers, Berwick (h), and Tranent - on 69 with 4 points needed. Bo'ness are away to Linlithgow, Broomhill, Hearts B, and Stirling Uni (h) - 72 max. Cumbernauld Colts are away to Albion Rovers, Celtic B, then home to Cowdenbeath, Edinburgh Uni, and Gala - 71 max.

EK should all but finish it up this weekend, may even win it depending on the Bo’ness score on Saturday.
