Miguel Sanchez
I can't stand Elton John but even if I loves him I'd still think this was shite. About 5% of what he's singing is actually recognisable as words. -
MONKMAN
I seen Elton a few weeks ago in Manchester and he was incredible. A truly magnificent performer and showman.

Tattie36
QOTSA for me. Will catch up with Elton’s set on iplayer later. That way I can skip past Brandon fucking Flowers etc. Even though he’s not really my cup of tea, there’s no denying Elton’s written a load great songs and has some back catalogue.
Nightmare
This Qotsa set btw. Magnificent.

Scary Bear
It’ll likely be similar comments to Paul McCartney last year. Some love it, some hate it because he’s not in his prime anymore.
The Naitch
That was superb, what a performance.
pozbaird
I thought that was tremendous stuff from Elton John and his band. When auld Reg snuffs it and the TV show the tributes - just whack on his Glastonbury 2023 set to show what he did at age 76.

Anyone criticising that performance has no idea the level of ability to write, sing and perform for two hours in front of thousands.

As cool as it would have been for them to recreate some Songs For The Deaf tunes, sadly not. Still an absolute banger of a set and performance though.
Swami
This version of Song for the Dead would melt your face.
Craig fae the Vale
Turn on QOTSA just as they're launching into Song For the Dead. Superb. Will watch the full set on Tuesday night. Not in a position to buy tickets to the Hydro show until the end of July, very much hoping there's still some left.
Barney Rubble
Pinball Wizard, Philadelphia Freedom and Someone Saved My Life Tonight were top tier. Bitch its Back, Bennie and the Jets, and Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me were above decent. The rest was disposable. Anyway, back to listening to John McLaughlin and Shakti. Bernie Taupins written. His voice seemed to get better and I'm not a fan but it was a decent set. He could have cut it shorter by getting rid of the guest buskers
