BeeJay
At one time during Bartley's reign Hanlon and Stevenson were rumoured to be heading our way. They are both leaving Hibs at the end of the season and would be great additions to our squad. However with no manager in place it would take a lot to persuade them to head our way. Premiership to First Division one hell of a drop, but both would give us the experience we crave.

BeeJay
Raith probably a good fit for them, and managed by a former Hibs player.

JTulip
Help us to give fans a stronger voice! The Queens Trust have been given the rare chance to purchase 480 shares in Queen of the South Football Club. We are looking to raise close to half the required amount with the other half coming from Trust funds. Share Purchase Update: In the words of Bon Jovi - ‘whoa, we’re half way there…’ So far we have raised £1,750 which is amazing with £1,250 from our just giving page and £500 so far in our lucky squares competition to win a holiday at Craig Tara. Thank you all so much for your support! Please help us to reach our target and give fans a stronger voice. Here are some ways you can help. 1: Our just giving page is still open. We have increased its target amount slightly now that the initial target has been met. All donations gratefully received. Ps where just giving ask for a fee it is possible to make this amount £0. 2: We have less than 50 lucky squares left in our great competition to win a Haven holiday. Only £10 a number. Have a go and you could win a great holiday for up to 6! Many thanks to former player Jimmy McGuire for kindly donating this prize. 3: Donate via our bookcase in the Queens Arena. The bookcase continues to provide regular funds. Thank you to all who support it. So please bring along or buy some books or just make a donation into our collection tin. 4: Next month we will be having an auction of some Queens/football tops and other items via EBay. If you have any items at all that you would like to donate please get in touch we would love to hear from you. Our last auction on eBay was a great success and it would be great if this could do the same. Just giving link below. https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/queenstrustsharefundraiser?utm_term=weypYXQEX Sorry for the negativity, but as a shareholder I genuinely don't understand unless you are buying a huge amount of shares... how the fans get anything out of this? Plus where are you getting the shares from? I understood the ethos behind putting money into the Tanner Fund as there was a physical end product, but by buying shares isn't going to influence the price of cheese. Unless you are getting to the 7000 level, then you start to have influence.... but even then not enough to cause a revolution and for the fans to be heard. Easier volunteering to be an SLO.... (and cheaper). Why not create 2 sub committee's like the Tanner Fund was going to do? One side representative for the SLO side and the other as a working group coordination type, where the members and fans alike can join in for the pre season clean etc.. coordinated enthusiastic events that bring the fans together?

JTulip
The shares are being bought from a private individual who approached the Trust. It is no one connected with either the Trust or any of the clubs directors. This purchase means that these shares will be in the control of queens fans who are members of the Queens Trust. There are a couple of benefits such as the more shares the Trust hold the easier it becomes to add a potential shareholder resolution to the agenda at any AGM. Currently it would need to be in co operation with others as it needs 5% of club shares to raise this. After the Rangers vote The Queens Trust and 77 other shareholders tried to have a resolution raised at an AGM but due to the number of shares between the 78 shareholders not being enough this did not succeed. Every single share extra would have helped to give those 77 shareholders and the Queens Trust members a voice. Also at an AGM if there was to be a vote on any matter whilst it may start with a show of hands it could be asked to go to the number of shares in which case the more shares held the better - the stronger the voice. By raising these funds to help towards this share purchase the Queens Trust will still have money to continue to help out the club with all the other things we help with as per normal. The support for it so far has been fantastic. Thank you very much to all that have contributed. Ps: numbers 3, 20 & 73 now sold. Total waste of supporters time and money in my opinion. It’s Queens that need a financial boost not some private individual.
