Wait, is Oaksoft an SNP man or not these days? I lose track of who he's pretending to vote for this week.

Tremendous that we're still pretending that wage budgets can only be divvied up between the middle and lower classes. Genuinely don't think he's ever said a bad word about his betters; it's like the super rich and corporations are divinely entitled.

Are they still ranting about the Met Office having the temerity to warn people that some of the hottest temperatures on record might require extra thought and preparation to avoid adverse health effects?

Libertorians are some bunch.

All that will prove funny as f**k when mad Lizzie gets her arse handed to her by the EU, the courts, Starmer (yes really) and everyone else.

Maybe he just lives in the real world? While the idea of taxing the rich so we have enough money to solve all the problems in society is noble…

…it’s never going to fucking happen, no matter who is in charge.

Are the SNP to receive zero blame for what's happening in Scotland then?

Not at all.  But bear in mind the SNP golf bag contains two clubs to the UK Government's fourteen.  And yet they still manage to provide a range of social benefits which are denied elsewhere in UK.  And all in the face of a rabid right-wing media.  Quite impressive in a way.

Not that it has anything to do with Oaksoft's posts - he just loves the attention from lack-of-virtue signalling - but governments have never taxed people with wealth to solve society's problems, and never will? Huh.

Was listening to BBC radio 6 and accidentally switched over to BBC Asian Network, they are next to each other. Listed for a bit as I quite like some of the music but this question came up and people were asked if the UK was ready for a brown faced PM. Folks were answering that maybe in ten years or so and saying stuff like that.

Has there been any talk about this on MSM/MS(white)M? I have heard the question asked.

If the Tories think that they will lose votes they will not select Sunak as their leader even if they know he is way better than the simple one.

Is the UK ready to accept a brown faced PM?

I think more in Britain might accept a "brown faced PM" than before after Leo Varadkar became Taoseich in the Republic of Ireland

There was a campaign at Davos by rich people asking to be taxed more.

This wasn't because they're nice and they want to share.

They know that there is only so far the tension of inequality can be built up without the capitalist system collapsing violently.

It's like the British government repealing the corn laws so that the aristocracy could keep their land and their heads.
