A disgraceful - but not surprising - 45 minutes from Clarke’s Scotland.
The positives are we walk out of that half only one behind, and there’s still 45 to play, so all is not lost.
The negatives are we are being comprehensively bodied by a hopeless Ireland team, for the second time in three months. Why though?
We’ve been poor one to eleven but special mentions to the hopeless McGregor and Christie. I didn’t know they were playing either. Dykes? Nope, he’s not good enough to start for QPR this weather so who knows why he’s starting for us.
Maybe there will be a huge turnaround in second half..?
Unless we avoid defeat here we will need a win in Poland. Ireland will beat Armenia on the final day and when they do they will finish above us on the H2H on 10 points if we draw in Ukraine.

No we aren't. It's been a much more even half this time. Not saying we've been great or even good, but it's been far, far, far closer than the game in Dublin.

The question should be, do Celtic have a chant that isn't an Irish song?

Yeah I suppose so. I just thought the supporters of their national side would have their own identity and wouldn't just be a crowd of Celtic fans.

Actually singing "up the ra"... surprising

Aye. We're always told that the largest percentage of tartan army members are Rangers fans. Seeing it in full flow tonight as the huddle was booed too 🤣

Wouldn’t put it past fans from clubs like Dunfermline and Falkirk as well. Most rabid Rangers fans don’t support the national team. Always a friendlier atmosphere in Dublin for this fixture with fans mixing.

If a 'team' fault isn't the responsibility of the coach, then what is?

Ability. The ability for individual players to adjust to what is in front of them. Guys like Hendry just cant do it. A coach can put all the X and Y on a magnetic board, in the end it comes down to how a player adjusts to what is in front of them.  There is a fundamental reason why we are so flat (and basically outplayed in the previous Euros finals).

This is about as average a RoI team as has ever been, all they are doing is pressing our defenders.

I wouldn’t have thought so…are you sure? I’ve been a few games in Dub and never heard that

Maybe it's cause it's in Glasgow it has brought out some of the nutters, but they definitely sang about the "ra" on a couple of occasions.
