To do it without Todd and Wilson is a decent achievement as well given how particularly shite we are without them. We were playing with essentially 5 forwards by the end, but fair play to Gibson for going for it. The subs definitely made a difference and we showed a bit of fight the last 15 minutes to grind out the win. Particular mention for Quitongo, Bange and Gibson. Ruth didn’t do much for me, but done well to win the penalty. Performance wise overall, Gibson surely can’t be happy with that though. A return to the back 3, but it often played like a 5. East absolutely cruised it, but otherwise we didn’t look particularly good defensively. Really lethargic going forward, tonnes of careless passes. I’ll need to see it again but Currie won’t be happy with the goal he conceded either. We’ve played the two poorest teams in the league twice, so the rest of the quarter is going to be tough. It's slightly funny that Ross Lyon probably signed Danny Lennon's release papers giving away the penalty.
