Final Day: Raith Rovers vs Thistle - Friday 5th May 2023

Recommended Posts

Just realised we're away first day and last day of the season, didn't think that was supposed to happen. In fact we've been away on the last day of the season 5 times in a row now, even if 2020 had played out it would still have been 5 out of 6.

Tinfoil helmet discarded and adult nappy put on, these are the insurance bets required (technically would be Raith - 3 but bet 365 not offering that) to financially compensate for us missing the playoffs, so bookies reckon were about 90% certain to get there.

Guys I'm going up to the game with a friend (he's got walking difficulties)is there a pub nearby or even a bar within the ground that an opposition fan can get in to, we going up on one of the supporter's buses and most probably parked up at the rugby ground??

The 200 club in the ground is members only. Occasionally ive seen away fans in. The Estuary bar on links street is the nearest to the ground ten minutes or so from rugby ground.

Good Lord, The Estuary is not a prudent choice per most contributors here, but your mileage may vary. I wouldn’t recommend it for someone with walking challenges given the slope up to the park on Ramsey Road. Also might be dealing with Fife’s Finest.

It might be worth emailing the club and ask explain your friend's situation. They'll hopefully put you in touch with someone from the 200 club which is in the south (home end) stand.

This Friday's programme includes the following:

- John Greer chats to former Rover and Jag Jim Kerr,

- An interview with Ross Mathhews about his injury hit season,

- Reports and pics from the Arbroath, Morton and Ayr games,

- A Memory Match from 1994 which was a dead rubber for Rovers, but an erse nipper for Thistle (sound familiar?),

- Features on charity fundraising including Team Archie, Cahonas and Spirit of Excellence.

Plus the usual features including:

- Manager's Notes, On This Day, Mascot feature, Quiz, Visitors' Pics, Stats and Team Lines.

On sale in and around the ground for only £3.
