The keeper has at least one foot on the line even after the penalty has been taken.

Such salty tears

He genuinely seems to think there was a conspiracy to keep Thistle down.

I hope he was miles off his line, but it’s impossible to tell from that angle.  Alan Nixon seems like the Partick version of that Dundee guy who is furious that County (and Livingston, and Hamilton) are better than Dundee.

FWIW: I think the referee got all three decisions using VAR right, with the caveat that the handball rule is an ass.

I thought Nick Walsh had a brilliant game and i certainly think he's head and shoulders above anyone else we've got in Scotland IMO, he's certainly way better than Collum who was seen as Scotland's best for a while

County ripping up the script yet again - total respect as they looked dead and buried with less than 20 mins left.

There has to be credit given to County, for persisting in looking for a break. 3 down, with 20 minutes remaining, it really didn’t look as though it would happen for them.

How crucial that goal line clearance turned out to be. Just a minute or so later, they were awarded the pen to get them back in the tie.

If only the team I watch could have shown that sort of resolve in their play off games.

Aye

I still think the handball was a bit dubious but I was pleasantly surprised that he didn’t toe the line in regards to the first penalty incident. That is a perfect example of a referee using VAR correctly. I’ve no idea what Aitken is seeing but he’s probably done the right thing giving Walsh another look at it. Walsh takes his time and then makes the right call. Same goes for the Watson incident although I’m not sure why he thought it was a red card in the first place. Those tackles are bloody infuriating but those cynical fouls are yellow cards unless it’s dangerous or a goal scoring chance. The foul was neither.

After listening to that this evening, as I continued my journey, I wondered had we been in that position, could we have recovered the situation like County??

I'm no sure we could have 🤔

Moot point I know. I'm just glad it didn't come to that :)
