Casey Jones
1 hour ago, realmadrid said: TBF Kinnoull had a great run to the end of last season and were minutes away from winning the EOS first division title before Dunbar got a late winner. The subsequent change of manager at Jeanfield which resulted in the Luncarty manager going to Jeanfield and then the Kinnoull manager going to Luncarty made the start of the season hard and was far from ideal. Short term the EOS First division is the right place for Kinnoull, with a great season they could repeat 22/23 but most seasons they should win more than they lose at that level, even with more of the late entrant West Lothian clubs progress up the EOS. Good post Saw Preston beat Kinnoull last week in the League Cup, the home side winning 4-2 after extra time. Thought Preston were the better team, even in 9 mins, but not much in it. Top of League1 has been very competitive in past 2 season, but Kinnoull will be very much in the mix should they go down.

Division 1 is a tough league to get out of. The teams coming up from League 2 are very decent and there are a number of clubs who will not be promoted this year all looking to go up next year. Broxburn have played a number of teams from this league over the past couple of years and can’t remember them ever having an easy victory.

realmadrid
Kinnoull survive for another game after a 3-2 win over Luncarty last night. Getting the first goal put Luncarty on the back foot, before they equalized just before half time. With Luncarty then starting the second half stronger Kinnoull hit twice and despite another headed goal the hosts claimed all 3 points. These mid week Perthshire clashes have not always gone to form this year, Luncarty won at Jeanfield, Kinnoull also came close at jeanfield and now Luncarty drop 3 points at Kinnoull.
realmadrid
I also went to Penicuik v Musselburgh game on Tuesday, the visitors were impressive on a very bumpy pitch.

Jordi1977
Jeanfield 3 Musselburgh 2 What a cracking game... and a result that seals the title for Broxburn. Quite an even first half, but Jeanfield got themselves in front with a well taken headed goal. 2nd half was Musselburgh throwing everything they had at Jeanfield... only to get hit on the break and go 2-0 down. Musselburgh stuck at it and had a lot of the ball, eventually getting 1 back and then equalising with a fantastic free kick from about 25 yards. Musselburgh then added a 3rd, but the linesman flagged it for offside. All of Broxburn would like to thank that linesman as the striker looked well onside from where I was (almost in line with it). Musselburgh kept going... only to be caught short at the back again and a fine finish won it for Jeanfield.

realmadrid
Good win for Luncarty last night against a Swifts side that looked a bit off it compared to Sunday. The visitors did have a good spell after pulling 1 back just as Luncarty had gone 2 up but the 3rd goal killed it and it now looks like Luncarty might survive which certainly did not look the case around Christmas.

southernrover
Was at Crossgates today. I didn't see Dunbar's first goal properly but it seemed like a keeper error. After their second it was all Crossgates and they pulled one back through a smart header, but then for all their huffing and puffing an equaliser eluded them. One or two of their chances will have haunt them should it transpire they go down by a point. Pleasant little place was Humbug Park, though the best feature of the village itself was the ease of exit Halbeath offers...!
Passthebaw
Well done to Broxburn in winning the Championship. It looked their trophy a long way from home, and ultimately a success fully deserved! Overall, disappointing seasons for Sauchie, Jeanfield and Musselburgh. The latter probably have the biggest budget in the league, yet celebrate 2nd in the league tonight as a victory, yet the remit was undoubtedly a league win! For me, Sauchie and Jeanfield were the best two teams in the Premier League this season. Think Broxburn are probably the weakest winners of the EoS Premier League since clubs from the Juniors transferred over. Should they gain promotion to Lowland League,, which am sure they will, they will need a number of players to compete in that league. Agree with what you say about Musselburgh. Must be biggest wage bill in the Premier League this season. Some great players in the team, with Nathan Evans getting lots of goals and Callum Donaldson & Craig Stevenson as strong a right back/ left back duo as you can get. Perhaps their downfall this season, in not picking up the title, was getting rid of their player of the season from last season. Liam Reid had (last season), established himself as team captain (when Mathu not available) and made his 100th appearance, but was unceremoniously dumped at start of season. Huge mistake, for me, by Liam B. May never get a better chance of winning league as they (should have) had this season.
Footballfirst
I was at the relegation battle between Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts v Glenrothes. There wasn't that much between the sides, but the Swifts probably just edged it and deserved their 4-2 win to go level on points with their opponents. It's still in Glenrothes own hands to ensure their safety and 3 points from their last two games should be enough. Glenrothes have still to play Dunbar (H) on Tuesday and Tynecastle (A) on Saturday while Swifts final game is Hill of Beath (A), so the games could go either way. A point of note from the game was a trialist in the Glenrothes midfield, one Murray Davidson (ex St Johnstone). He had steady if not dominant performance, but did score his side's second goal.
