Not sure what point you’re trying to make really, but Birmingham City played in the Europa League group stages in 2011-12.

There are ways around that. English cricket has strict limits on "Overseas Players"... SuperLeague in rugby league has caps on "Foreign Passport Holders"... United Rugby Championship in rugby union has maximum for "Non-European Players". In practice you could just make a requirement for X number of players not developed here or Y number developed here which already happen.
Andy groundhopper
Maybe a National League set up like in England- 16 teams then North & South below that. Champions up - then next 4 play off.
LuboMoravcik
A larger top league with only grass pitches, and have the grass pitches subsidised by a fund paid into proportionally by every club. -

diegomarahenry
Playing each other 4 times a season is dull for fans and players. It is made worse in the top flight by only having one guaranteed promotion spot, there should be at least two with a third play-off game. I am in favour of a top 16 like the Czech top flight, with a 3 way split. They only have one cup competition but the format allows for a near two month winter break so it wouldn't be an issue to accommodate. Having a second flight of 16, which would have 2 or three promoted and three relegated would give a freshness to that league also. Have a smaller third tier of teams as a gateway from the pyramid to the league and below that, regionalised national leagues.
Scary Bear
No draws. Every match that ends in a draw goes to immediate sudden death penalties. First team to miss loses the match. As I’ve got older I really feel cheated if the match ends in a draw. -
Slipmat
The removal of B teams, Welsh and Irish clubs from the Challenge Cup. And I'm going to be greedy and make a second suggestion - with apologies to the OP of course Which is opening up the pyramid by promoting both the Highland & Lowland champions directly in lieu of the bottom two in League Two, together with two up two down from the Lowland League to give clubs in the WOS, SOS and EOS Leagues more chance of progressing. Unless one of those clubs is Darvel, of course.

Would you really prefer it if shops, pubs, insurers and other businesses were allowed to conspire together to fix prices, and kill competition? That would inevitably lead to higher prices for everyone.
Heid_The_Baw
Several 'one things'. VAR to not be operated from in the Loudon Tavern. Heated terracing. Every club in Scotland to give Raith Rovers £100k Falkirk fans. Ban Falkirk fans (the one thing both the Pars and us agree on). Most likely to happen from that list? Any of the last 3......
Bluenortherner
The Scottish Cup must be seeded, there are far too many clubs drawing teams from the same division making it notoriously boring. Try doing it the Spanish way by drawing the lower league teams at home against the top sides.
