Bo'ness United 1-4 Cumbernauld United
BSC Glasgow 3-2 Caledonian Locos
Gretna 2008 2-1 Darvel
Lugar Boswell Thistle 4-2 Wishaw
Yoker Athletic 0-2 St Peters
Broomhill 0-1 Irvine Medda

Cambuslang are 2 divisions above Lanark so would suggest our win warrants a mention.

Clearly the result of the day is Lowland League, South region, diddy cannon fodder Gretna 2008 swording an Ambitious and Well-Run West of Scotland club like Darvel*.

Naw sorry, with Tony McInally at the helm of Darvel, a lot of people are not surprised.

the result for me of the day are

Bo'ness United 2 Cumbernauld United 4,  which is a shocker

and a mention for Broomhill  0 Irvine Meadow 1

Some strange results, do teams take this competition seriously i wonder.

Shocker for bo'ness and the lowland league. Playing Darvel in scottish cup next week will be interesting.

Really glad you said that first.

Exactly what I was thinking but it takes something away from the good results by surprise winners. For me, the big boys see this cup as the least important of the season so make changes in the starting line ups.

I think that's to be expected, most of the bigger teams at WOS and LL level are in the Scottish Cup so the South Challenge Cup is probably the third most important competition at this level after the SC and league.  Maybe when teams get to the last 16 or quarters it might gather momentum.
