Have Hibs fans noticed any improvement since Montgomery came in?

Thinking about our two league games this season, I'm not sure I could say that Hibs looked any better tonight. I appreciate it's the same players he's working with (and I'm basing this only on 2 games). We were more clinical at Easter Road than we were tonight but there were chances at both ends in each game.

We have only lost one league game since he arrived - Ibrox.

Our football is better imo, but we have a thin bench and the defence is honking.

You've got Boyle on the bench. You bring on a teenage Landers.

Who doesn't track the St Mirren goalscorer? Landers.

Maloney didn't get time, but the A league boy who chucks every game with his subs and with 2 wins in 12 should?

Maloney got a transfer window and then went on a run of 1 win in 13. It clearly wasn't working.

Monty's on 2 in 12 with seven figures spent on the squad by the same DOF who'll be signing the players in January..

Chucking leads every week because of shitey subs is a good definition of 'clearly not working'.

Comparing him to Maloney though....

the thick of it angry reaction GIF

It's results business, neither Maloney nor Monty can get us results.

I didn't realise Boyle was on the bench. Surely must have been carrying an injury as the way our defence played tonight he would have had a field day.

First half was our worst performance of the season. Improved 2nd half, yet another mistake led Hibs in again. Delighted with the point and the resilience of this team. Onto Dundee!

Your underlying logic suggests we should change the manager every 3 months unless they hit the ground running with half a dozen wins in their 1st dozen matches with a squad they've never worked with before and clearly lackingi n certain areas. It's not really a sustainable model.

The underlying logic suggests that a manager who chucks a lead every time his subs come on and cannot get a win with a squad that's had the most money spent on it outside the OF, should have a large ? against his name, even this early.

Stole a point at the end. Arguably one of our worst performances of the season. Thankfully the home crowd boos were consistent!

David Marshall was slowing the game down in both first and second half. No idea how he was never booked for blatant time wasting.

St Mirren never really tested him during the game. Happy to come away with a draw.

Hemmings made some decent saves. Perhaps could have done better at first goal. Both our goals came from mistakes by Gogic and Taylor IIRC.

Very pleased with a point as only 2 or 3 of the starting 11 got pass marks for me. Hemming made a couple of great saves and Tanser was great in the second half, Greive and Jamieson very good off the bench.  Thought Mandron was hooked far too early.

The middle two need to be more disciplined than they were tonight. O’Hara has far too many games where he just drifts about aimlessly and leaves huge gaps to run through.

VAR remains shite and desperately needs to be binned.

How much of that money was spent on the defence this summer ?
