PauloPerth Posted December 20, 2023 Share Posted December 20, 2023 We did okay for an hour as at 1-0 down and 10 men at ibrox after 30 minutes you fear the worst. A bit of a nothing performance from rangers but I suppose it’s 3 points. You can see what we’re trying to do in terms of keeping the ball and avoid hoofing it up the park to give it straight back to them, though it does mean we give up possession round our own box a fair bit. Probably a risk worth taking, otherwise it’s just waves of attack against us. There were a couple of really good opportunities to counter in the second half, but that lack of quality in forward areas and poor decision making meant we couldn’t capitalise. Smith/Phillips/Sprangler were shite in possession so we couldn't play through midfield, then you had Jaiyesimi shite up top so we couldn't go long. Then we're down to 10 and its fucked both ways. Smith had a couple nice runs, he can be a very excellent dribbler, but yeah Sprangler was miles off and Phillips just didn't have a chance to impose himself on the game at all. Its really when we needed someone to step up and control things for us, but it didn't happen.
