Morton Vs Pars - 23/03/2024

Massive win for us on the road. Could be 3 points from safety now which in itself is massive given how things were looking a few weeks ago.

Broadfoot didn’t gift hearts their goal. And he certainly didn’t have a stinker at Firhill. Seems like by including both of those falsities that you do in fact have a problem with him.

I’d have O’Connor in too but Broadfoot’s distribution is far superior so at least Oakley should have more to work with with him in the side.

Suggest you watch both back and try it with your eyes opened this time.

We're a far better team without him.

If O'Connor was fully fit he should have started.

If Strapp wasn't injured, he shouldn't have been taken off. Waters is rancid.

If Robbie Muirhead wants to roll back the years then he can f**k off in the summer.

Garrity has been our best player in the last 2 games and he's been a second half sub in both...

Well that was another tough watch. Dunfermline dug deep for the win. Thought it was a pretty even game but one that if we went behind it was done. Our sloppiness at a corner allows it to be played short, ball into the box and goal. Not sure if the penalty was actually a penalty and how did Crawford miss the chance in the 6 yard box. Mullen made a fantastic save from Hamilton I think it was?

We really need to break this duck of defeats. Next week is now massive for us and we are looking over our shoulder rather than upwards now.

Yet another appalling performance. We definitely looked brighter to begin with Oakley starting but given his lack of game time he faded out very quickly.
Muirhead has been awful for weeks, and Crawford who had an excellent start to the season hasn’t contributed anything going forward for a long while either. This tied in with the defence shipping easy goals each week is giving us no chance of getting a result.
Imrie can’t complain about the depth of his squad/options off the bench, then refuse to use a player who he signed on a 2 year deal*. It’s all fine and well to say Bearne may not be training well enough, but he can’t be a worse option than Muirhead at the moment.

*one of 2 players signed on 2 year deals. The other wasn’t good enough either and chucked it only last month.

What was the penalty awarded for? I missed it. Brilliant save by Mehmet.

We made it unnecessarily nervy near the end for ourselves. Hamilton has to score that chance but what a save from the 'keeper. You have to take your hat off to that bit of brilliance. Thought we edged it in all honesty and deserved the 3 points.

A draw would have been a fair result but no complaints about the score as we simply didn't take our chances.

Crawford managed to miss from about 2 yards in a goal line clearance and Muirhead misses a penalty with the keeper making a fine save.

I thought both Robbie's were poor today and both look to have ran out of steam. They've certainly put in a shift over the season and maybe it's caught up with them.

Dougie needs to freshen things up next week and utilise the squad. As mentioned big Robbie was ineffectual today and has been off it for a few weeks now.

Surprised McGrattan yet again didn't take his chance today. He's been good when he's come on as a sub and perhaps deserved a run out. But totally disappeared in the game.

Garrity was lively when he eventually came on even although he over hit a couple of crosses. Oakley needs more minutes to get back up to speed again.

Dougie has a lot of thinking to do as we cannot play like we did today for the remainder of games.

Penalty was given for a “foul” on Quitongo but from where I was standing it was incredibly soft. Quitongo has gone down at the slightest touch if there was any. That being said, there wasn’t many complaints from the Dunfermline players.
