KD1711
Thought Airdrie were the much better team over the two legs but just couldn’t get it done. gifted a goal each leg then Graham offside for the first tonight, he is a total shithouse Graham but you’d love him on your team. Well done Partick.
CountryBumpkin
Just now, Heaton said: It's almost a formality anyway. Thistle will have played 4 extra games within 2 weeks at the end of a season, before they face the Prem team. Raith 2 extra. The whole set up is absolutely and blatantly rigged to keep the Prem teams up. Then if they go down, the get a parachute payment to help them get back up, which most seasons happens. Why is this not mentioned on the BBC and how unfair the playoffs set up is? Bloody joke of a league. Why? The prem team are still playing games until the weekend before the final, its not as if they're sitting around twiddling their thumbs getting nice and rested before playing whoever from the Championship. Its a bit shit that they only have to play one 2-legged game to stay up overall and they also get 2nd leg home advantage but they're not playing many less games than anyone else.

Raith don't play 2 extra games than the Premiership team. 36 +2 is 38, the Premiership club plays 38. 3rd and 4th play extra games as they finished lower in the league than Raith, which is surey in favour of the team finishing 2nd?
goodwin
Dycey leans forward instead of slightly to his left and we're in extra time. Gutted with the outcome. Delighted to be playing another season in the Championship. Who will be on the pitch and in the dugout

I’ve never understood this argument that a team is at a disadvantage because they’ve had to play games (thus retaining match fitness) whereas the team who have sat on their arse for 11 days are going to be more prepared. It’s a football cliche repeated by many that has no basis in fact IMO. On the contrary - Partick are the team with the advantage IMNSHO

SerieA
Excellent tie over the 2 legs. Airdrie a little unlucky tonight. But my prediction was for Partick to shade it over the 2 legs. Cracking season for Airdrie.Excellent interview with McCabe after the game as well. Next decent job that comes up is his. Partick…. see you next week.

craigkillie
Thought those were two cracking legs of football, Airdrie were perhaps marginally the better team across 180 minutes but Thistle have the best forward in the lower leagues and that was ultimately the difference there. Expecting another cracker in the semi as well.

If it's thistle it's 2 extra and if it's raith it's the same number of games as the prem season is 2 games longer than the championship

The teams relegated in 11th place through the play-offs have been Hibs, Thistle and Killie, and we've been the only ones who have come straight back up at the first time of asking. It took Hibs three goes and six years later Thistle are still trying to get back, having been down in League 1 for one of those years.

Sting777
Thought Airdrie were the better side over the two games but Graham makes a huge difference at this level even at 36. Thought Muirhead and McBeth were terrific tonight while Neilson was atrocious. Not confident about beating Roath Ravers but its gonna be another close tie!!
JagsCG
Airdrie play some really nice stuff without actually doing anything up front. Brian Graham undoubtedly the difference in that regard, aside from his 2 goals he put in a hell of a shift defensively. Muirhead can very quickly be criticised when he’s had a bad game but he was outstanding tonight, as was McBeth. I’m a fan of his but Neilson has been poor in midfield for a while now IMO, his strolling about the park is far more noticeable when every other player around him is working their arse off too. Raith’s midfield have had the better of us a few times this season and I’m not confident that won’t be the case next week again. Thought Stanway put in a good shift which you can usually guarantee from him.
