League Two admission prices

Recommended Posts

Helpful if we could have each club's admission prices for next season posted here, as a service for away fans. But I think also useful to have a discussion on what we think reasonable, and what not. My personal feeling is that some clubs are driving prices up to a level where they will discourage occasional fans, and perhaps even more so away fans, when the cost of admission is added to the cost of travel.

Stranraer's prices for 2024/25 are unchanged at:

Season ticket prices

  • Adult – £200
  • Concession (over 65) – £135
  • Youth (5 to 16) – £50

Admission prices

  • Adult – £15
  • Concession (over 65) – £10
  • Youth (5 to 16) – £5
  • Under 5 – FREE

£15 is probably fair, but also the maximum I'd pay for League 2 football ⚽️

I was going to attend an East Fife game as a neutral last season, but saw it was 18 nuggets, so that put an end to that!

I'd rather better spend my extra money in McDs buying chicken nuggets!

We were only charging 11 notes in League 1 at the start of last season (To get bums on seats maybe?) but reverted back to 15 pounds entry after new year.

I suppose if your team is winning you'll not mind so much about the price.

You better not look at the Clyde forum as the entry for this season has just been announced and the natives are going tonto.

Guess we wont be seeing you at NDP this season.

Not pretty for Clyde either, particularly walk-up prices:

  • Adult – £260
  • Over 65s – £200
  • Young Person (18 to 26) – £200
  • Under 18s – £50
  • Under 12s – £5
  • Adult – £19
  • Concessions – £15
  • Under 18s – £5

Amazing what happens to prices when fans own the clubs.

Don't speak too soon, we've not realised ours yet!! I suspect they will be in line with what Clyde are charging as they were roughly last seasons prices for us.

I'm being a bit facetious, fans owning those clubs is only part of the reason. German clubs split every gate so clubs don't have weeks where there is no cash flow, that coupled with a good TV deal lets them charge less to fans. They absolutely would not stand for the prices here and I think that's Scotland's problem - people are so tribal that they will turn up and pay anything so clubs will continue to charge it.

100% mate, we go for self preservation and fleece the consumer, they go for socialism and look after the consumer and it blows our clubs mind just why there are more empty seats than bums on seats in over 90% of our stadiums.

There is a stunning lack of ability, or willingness, to look at the bigger picture. At a more extreme level, this is how clubs are happily taken over by dodgy nation states etc. and souls sold.

Arguably the £15 for concessions is the worst part.

Posted (edited)

Bonnyrigg is £210/£140/£70. Early bird is a tenner off and it looks like it cuts off on Saturday afternoon.

PATG is £15/£10/£5, U-12s go free with a paying adult.

At least Clyde are going to be throwing money at a calibre of player that will have them challenging.

East Fife fans still paying through the nose to retain the same hapless jobbers that will have them bouncing about mid table again.

Well thats Clyde and East Fife marked out for away games I won't be at next season. I'll be honest, I probably won't bother with many away matches next season. I'll make the effort for Peterhead, Forfar, and maybe Elgin. The first trip to Bonnyrigg too as I missed the two games there in their first season in the league. Clyde, EF, Stranraer, Spartans, and Edinburgh City can all get in the sea.

Actually, might go to Edinburgh City just for the Hoppy pub beforehand, and a wee Leith pubcrawl after, but that's about it.

I don't mind Edinburgh City. If you get there early you can do a couple of 400m laps and some long jumps. Kids selling home bakes then get a seat in the back row (third) and it's not too bad. Although in April some Albion fans got a picnic and watched from outside the ground behind the subs benches.

I'll pass on Elgin, Peterhead and Stranraer for travel reasons and probably swerve Clyde if it means going back to NDP which is like a throwback to Ceausescu's Romania - grey and bleak even when it's sunny.

I went to a cup final at Broxburn a few weeks ago and heard some people moaning about paying a tenner...

Our lot should pay us to go back in.
