I think it will be a close game, but other than the Austria game, our defence has been well organised all tournament. They faced quite an onslaught from Turkey and did well. So I think we can keep it shut at the back and then a cheeky Weghorst counter attack goal will see us through.

They will need to be stronger at the back against England though as they will have more chances. Also, I just can't get behind Depay as the main striker. The boy doesn't even have a club at the moment.

A Diamond For Me
Come on, boys - do it for Herman Bavinck, Herman Dooyeweerd and all the other millions of Dutch people who may or may not be called Herman.
Red Kite
I've seen a few comments slating Big Virgil and I think a lot could depend on which version of him turns up. Also, if Gakpo regresses to his form at Liverpool, then we could see the Netherlands struggling for goals. I'd be looking to target Walker and Shaw, if both play. If I was Southgate, I'd give either Eze or Gordon at least a half to look to get at Dumfries. I would drop Walker and play "Trent" to look to pin the Dutch back and keep Gakpo away from that position he likes to take up on the left-hand side of the opposition box. I fully expect us to do sod all until we concede, though.

I'd be tempted to play Konsa rather than Walker as Walker has been shaky all tournament but his pace gets him out of holes. Guehi back in for Konsa and Shaw starting are the only changes I can see happening. Going to be tough.

Theroadlesstravelled
The Netherlands best players are all defenders. Van Dijk, De Vrij, Ake, Van De Ven, De Ligt. Queue them conceding a saft as shite goal.

I agree on getting them sent home but I've detected absolutely no smugness from either English players, coaches, media or fans this time round. If anything their media and supporters are as baffled as we are that they're still in this. And that, I fear, means they're going to win it.
