This is very petty but BBC’s refusal to admit a World Cup game is on itv or vice versa.

I fully recognise the commercial reason for this but “you can follow this game on radio 5 live” always irks me for some reason.

On the BBC website they indicated which TV channel was broadcasting which games.

When the other half can't answer a question correctly

I asked 'do you want a tea or a coffee'.
She answered 'Yes please'.

It not a Yes/No answer type question, it make a choice of tea of coffee.

This reminds of the "whatever" seethe I posted on here a while back. Whatever is not an appropriate answer to a question.

It’s the ones that have the sign up saying “would you like to sponsor this roundabout” that annoy me for some reason.

I get emails about once a quarter from Dundee City Council asking me to sponsor a roundabout.

If they had the wit to say “sponsor a circle” I’d be more tempted.

Perfectly valid answer, establishing that she desires a hot beverage. You should have asked "Would you prefer tea or coffee?" to determine which.
