jaggyness
Feel these two still have to be there at tea for England to salvage a draw. Not scoring quickly enough to be going for the victory.

Angus_Don
Good bowling but there is a kind of inevitability about all this, could it be all over by tea time.
Benjamin_Nevis
Christ, went for my lunch with England 1 down, forgot to check the updates and 2 hours later they've completely shat the bed. A Woakes/Root partnership is pretty much their only hope.
die hard doonhamer
It's all on this partnership. Woakes managed it against Pakistan last year, and Root is, well, Root. Bumrah in particular is on fire though, England need to get through this, and then there's the small matter of the new ball.
Left Back
England need a miracle now.

Benjamin_Nevis
Anderson goes after a tiny edge ... India win by 157 runs. A quite incredible turnaround considering they were a poor 191 after their first innings. Whichever way you cut it that's a total bottle job from England once the openers went. Root offered resistance but he can't be carrying this lot in every single match. As for India, after that first innings nonsense they were quite magnificent. An absolute top drawer series so far.
die hard doonhamer
I think the blame lies in England's first innings. That pitch should have seen a 450+ score at that point, and England were well short. Outstanding performance from India today. Well done to them.
jaggyness
Another pathetic collapse from a position of strength from England
Jimi Shandrix
A magnificent performance from India today. I did not see that coming, however England did not cover themselves in glory. To put it mildly, that was a poor effort with the bat. Bring on the 5th test.
Wee-Bey
There's something strangely comforting about an English batting collapse. Full credit to India and Kholi though.

Burns, Pope and Bairstow were got out, the rest got themselves out, unfortunately. Take nothing away from India though, they were superb today.

jaggyness
So Root has said Buttler will play the 5th test. Wonder if Pope will drop out? They'd be mad to in my opinion but given Ali is already likely to drop out for Leach would leave them pretty light on batting

Pope made a score in the last game, which Bairstow hasn't really looked like doing (he looks good until he gets to around about his average, then gets out). I reckon Overton drops out for Leach, and Wood comes in for one of Anderson or Robinson (probably Robinson).

He obviously wasn't intending on playing all five before Broad's injury.

I don't get like Jimmy would be posting this if he wasn't going to be playing. I don't think he should feature (well, actually, I think he should have missed the fourth test), but I think he will.
die hard doonhamer
England name their T20 world cup squad. Only 1 specialist spinner seems to be a bold call. India named 5 in the their squad yesterday. The continued absence of Joe Root from the England T20 setup absolutely baffles me. I'd have had him in the 15 instead of David Willey. Still no Ben Stokes, as he continues his indefinite break. I hope he is able to get himself in to a space where he can play in Australia, the test team really needs his batting.
