peasy23
Ridiculous stuff from Rory and Morikawa from the bunker on 18.

Tartan Dave
Great stuff by Mcilroy. Needs to quadruple the first to immediately put himself in the position of chaser from now on imo

peasy23
It's been a procession on the end, not complaining too much though as I have £5 ew on Scheffler.
peasy23
A 4 putt double bogey for Scheffler on the last. [emoji1787]

peasy23
McIlroy and Morikawa must have been a great pairing to follow yesterday. Both of them had 6 birdies and eagled 13. Was also great to see their reaction to each others hole out bunker shots on 18.For once Rory didn't put himself out of contention by firing a first round 76 or so, he just never really got going until Sunday, similar tale for Morikawa.Including his brain fart double bogey on the last, Scheffler dropped 12 shots over the tourney, Rory 10 and Morikawa 13. Smith dropped a whopping 17 shots. Plenty of players will be thinking "what if?"
peasy23
Scheffler's record since changing caddy is unreal. 9 tournaments, of which 4 have been wins, including a WGC Matchplay title and a Masters. It's also Ted Scott's 3rd Augusta win after carrying Bubba Watson's bag for both his victories.

With the majors now scheduled one month after the other, he must fancy his chances of adding another while he's in this sort of form. Bob sneaks back up to 73rd in the WGR. It's a strange thing to say but he really needs to contend a bit more in the average run of the mill tour events. It's clear he can handle the tougher set up of majors but he's going to struggle to get inside the top 50 based on that alone. He needs a few top 10s outwith the majors.

He's had too many missed cuts from the middle of last year, has to be consistently getting top 10-20 finishes a lot more often. The spell he played late in the season last year in the US was a disaster, which then led into missing cuts at the BMW at Wentworth and the Dunhill Links at St Andrews. He did finish well with 4th in Dubai but he's not picked up many ranking points since.

I think that is partly because of the jumping between both sides of the Atlantic and probably also not helped by the scheduling of the majors as he didn't play a lot between the 4 majors last season. I think he might be playing in the States as much as he can this season though to try and get a card.

I'm not a fan tbh, 10 forces everyone to draw it, 11 used to force everybody to fade it. Now they can get away with a draw. I think is ok considering most of the top players now fade everything, Augusta is trying to make the players play uncomfortable shots
Ro Sham Bo
I'm not sure I'm a fan of the changes to the 15th. It seemed like almost everyone was laying up there and I would prefer to see a few more of them take a punt at the green.
