The past few Friday nights I’ve got into a routine of playing 9 holes at the same time. Another group have the same routine but the tee time before us.

Tonight I had an easy approach shot from centre of the fairway from around 140 yards. I picked the wrong club, overhit it, hooked it and nearly hit the group in front on the next tee.

Problem is, I made the same mistake, on the same hole, nearly hitting the same group at the same time last week. Absolute Beamer.

I see Bob was two shots outside the cut mark with 6 holes to play on his 2nd round. Five birdies later and he's inside the top 20.
Hopefully he keeps that form going into the weekend. He started well today then hit back to back bogeys which looked like derailing him completely until he caught fire on the closing stretch.

Weather in North Carolina for the Wells Fargo is atrocious. Rory trying his utmost to muss the cut, but keeps managing to hole putts.

Of the top 20-30 players in the world, Rory must be one of the worst from 150-160 yards. Bombed a superb drive down the middle, 160 to the pin, puts it about 20 yards right of the pin into the bunker. Now has a tickly putt for par.

How did this go? Or are you still making your way up the 12th at Kingsbarns into the wind?

It was tremendous, Kingsbarns especially, comfortably straight in to my top 10. Torrance has a quality layout, but they’d just seeded the greens to get it ready for the open qualifiers, so they were pretty ropey, but we’ll worth the cheaper rate with it still being in April. 34 points round Kingsbarns and a hungover 33 round Torrance as well. So no disgrace thankfully. Helped the weather was tremendous bar the last four holes on Saturday. Great weekend.

Brilliant, glad you enjoyed.

If I ever win Euromillions, I'd play Kingsbarns every week. They just get everything right.

Had been looking forward to playing our Stableford yesterday, but woke up with a sore back. Thought it would ease off with a decent warm up so headed up early and hit a load of balls in the practice net, but it didn't get much better and I ended up hacking my way to a dismal 25 points. At least the weather was decent.

After a shitter of a day yesterday with a 76 that included a double and a triple bogey, Bob hit a 69 today to get back under par. Has to he performing better in tourneys like this though if he wants to drag himself up the rankings.

Saying nothing about some other guys just now though as I usually jinx them.

Greg Norman's mystery former world number 1 seems to be Martin Kaymer, current world number 191 and winless since 2014.

After my performance in the medal this morning, Greg has asked me to return my invitation
