Bloobell
Anderson vs Wagner is the first match of the tournament, with a 1pm start. Anderson WILL struggle in that match. Not only does he not like early rounds of tournaments, he hates early starts as well. Had a change of heart about the darts and flogged my two sets of tickets on ebay Doubled my dosh so well happy B)
Guest Berwick till i die
Phil Taylor had an interview in the Sunday Post today where he called Gary Anderson an idiot for not jumping to the PDC and blamed the BDO for giving Anderson a bad draw in the Masters with the time he started due to him taken part in the Grand Slam. This is obviously Taylor pushing his weight about to get Anderson and other top stars to join the PDC which I don't blame him for but to the criticize the BDO and accuse them of trying to stop Anderson win might be a bit to far even if what he is saying might be true. It's not necessary for Taylor to bad mouth the BDO because everyone knows the PDC is the place to be and the prize money is much better so why get politics involved to get people to jump as everyone is jumping anyway and in time so will Anderson and Webster.

Mon the Thorn. Wayne Jones is probably the weakest seed in the entire tournament whereas Thornton is probably the strongest unseeded player.
DomDom
After working my way through the draw, I actually fancy Thornton to have a decent run. I also fancy Andy Hamilton, Denis Ovens, Adrian Lewis and Mervyn King to have good goes at reaching the latter stages as well. Lewis is a possible winner if you ask me.
Guest Berwick till i die
Schedule for the WC's first round. Friday 19th Roland Scholten vs. Carlos Rogriguez I fancy Carlos for the upset in this game Warren French vs. Akihiro Nagakawa ( Prelim. ) Wayne Jones vs. Robert Thornton a defiant banana skin for Thornton but I think he will win John Part vs. Bill Davis Part to win easily Andy Jenkins vs. Co Stompe potential match of the round and if the right Jenkins turns up he will win if not I fancy Stompe Saturday 20th Afternoon Terry Jenkins vs. Dennis Smith Jenkins to win Hannes Schnier vs. Shi Yongsheng ( Prelim. ) Kevin Painter vs. Matt Clark Could be an upset in this game if Painter isn't at his best but I expect him to go through Dennis Priestly vs. French/Nagakawa Priestly to go through depending on his health Barrie Bates vs. Felix McBrearty Bates has gone backwards since he had started having problems with his foot and I think he will go out Saturday 20th Evening Alan Tabern vs. Steve Beaton Tabern easily David Fatum vs. Shane O'Connor ( Prelim. ) Michael Van Gerwen vs. Darin Young Defiant shock on the card with Young winning Phil Taylor vs. Steve Grubb Taylor without dropping a leg Alex Roy vs. Kevin McDine McDine in a close match Sunday 21st Afternoon Mark Walsh vs. Jamie Caven Walsh to win but Caven is a decent player so it won't be a stroll in the park Charles Losper vs. Sudesh Fitzgerald ( Prelim. ) Mark Dudbridge vs. Nick Fullwell Dubridge to win Wes Newton vs. Pes Laursen I can see an upset with Laursen winning Denis Ovens vs. Steve Maish Ovens will win Sunday 21st Evening Andy Hamilton vs. Michael Barnard Hamilton comfortably Remco Van Eijden vs. Anastacia Dombromyslova ( Prelim. ) love to see Anastacia go through and I hope Sid is on commentary for her game because it will be funny hearing him try to pronounce her name. Wayne Mardle vs. Tatum/O'Conner Mardle will go through Raymond Van Barneveld vs. Mark Stephenson Barney easily Peter Manley vs. Mensur "Tah Dah !" Suljovic Manley will go through Monday 22nd Evening Chris Mason vs. John MacGowan shock in this game with Mason going out Marko Kantele vs. Lourence Ilagan ( Prelim. ) Adrian Lewis vs. Russell Stewart Lewis easily Colin Lloyd vs. Jelle Klaasen Klassen will do Lloyd Mervyn King vs. Schnier/Yongsheng King very easily Tuesday 23rd Afternoon Andy Smith vs. Tony Ayres Ayres to cause a shock Adrian Gray vs. Paul Nicholson Gray just Kirk Shepherd vs. Jan Van Der Rassel Van Der Rassel will embarrass Shepherd Tony Eccles vs. Van Eijden/Dombromyslova Eccles to win Tuesday 23rd Evening Ronnie Baxter vs. Kantele/Ilagan Baxter to win Colin Osbourne vs. Losper/Fitzgerald Osbourne to win James Wade vs. Brendan Dolan Wade easily Vincent Van Der Voort vs. Nandor Bezzeg Vincent to win
DomDom
Andy Jenkins vs. Co Stompe potential match of the round and if the right Jenkins turns up he will win if not I fancy Stompe If the right Jenkins turns up, Stompe is going to get fucked rotten. Kevin Painter vs. Matt Clark Could be an upset in this game if Painter isn't at his best but I expect him to go through Clark is no mug and Painter has been woeful at times this year. I fancy Clark to cause an upset and go through in this one. Dennis Priestly vs. French/Nagakawa Priestly to go through depending on his health He should be fine in the early rounds. This will be a walk in the park for him. Alan Tabern vs. Steve Beaton Tabern easily No chance. Beaton might not be amazing, but he's not a bad player and will keep Tabern on his toes. Kirk Shepherd vs. Jan Van Der Rassel Van Der Rassel will embarrass Shepherd Shepherd was a one trick pony, so this wouldn't really be a humiliation. Van Der Rassel is probably at Kirk's level and I'd expect him to lose here. James Wade vs. Brendan Dolan Wade easily Two things to take into account here. 1) Dolan is not a bad player by any stretch. 2) Wade has admitted to not liking the sets format. I expect Wade to go through, but I can also see him making it hard for himself.

Isn't Dolan the guy who got beat off Jacko Barry at the Grand Prix? Jacko Barry is one of the worst players I've ever seen win a darts match on tv, what a dreadful player.

Dee4Life1893
Anyone watching the PDC World Champs that start tonight?? I've not looked at the draw but I would assume it's just the usual lambs to the slaughter. Might have a few bets on set wins to nil.
DomDom
Lams to the slaughter. Well, lets just take tonight for example. Roland Scholten vs. Carlos RogriguezWarren French vs. Akihiro Nagakawa ( Prelim. ) Wayne Jones vs. Robert Thornton John Part vs. Bill Davis Andy Jenkins vs. Co Stompe Three out of the four first round matches could realistically go against the seeds. I'm assuming that two of them will, Thornton and Rodriguez to win. Jenkins and Stompe really could go either way. There's some good un-seeded players in the tournament this year so the seeds will have to be careful.

DomDom
Scholten's website says his fitness has gotten worse. His operation was in the new year so this is to be expected. He's probably only there to collect the first round loser's prize money.

DomDom
He seems to be really making a go of this, but it's clear that the problems are still there. He'd be all over this guy. Rodriguez is a bit of a shadow of the player who played Jenkins in Germany.
mid-table
This preliminary match is murder, I've switched over to Simpsons on Sky One.
MTJ
I have watched about three shots in this match, but I've got it on in the background, as I'm having a game of darts myself and it sounds like its utter shite. Warren French looks like a sex offender.
Neilly
This is seriously bad. They've just cut to some highlights package instead of showing the game that's how brutal it is.
