Even in the Netherlands, is it as good as I think it is? I can't recall the taste. Not seen it in NL for ages apparently its not sold here anymore, they moved production to the Dommelsch plant in Belgium.
philpy
I'd actually forgotten it even existed. In fact I'm sure that's the first time I've had it.

I can remember having some ludicrously strong stuff on holiday one year, think it was 12% ABV. Rocket fuel.

carpetmonster
Better half’s just told me she’s paid for this for Fathers Day and I’ve to go to the brewery and pick it up at half twelve.

HeartsOfficialMoaner
This one is really, really nice. McChouffe. A wee kilt on and playing the pipes. A brilliant label as well.
Archie McSquackle
I remember getting a 750ml bottle of McChouffe at the Motherwell Beer Festival many years ago and enjoying it on the train back to Hamilton. I think work was a bit of struggle the next day!

Just smooth as.

I have seen a few whisky infused beers here advertised as Scottish style, I have never been tempted but maybe I should give the McChouffe a go.

Savage Henry
Northern Monk’s stuff is very solid (not literally) indeed. I could drink gallons of this Eternal Sunshine IPA. This month’s Beer52 delivery is absolutely terrific.

tongue_tied_danny
My Beer52 order arrived this morning. It was the free first month shipment for £5.95 postage. I don't really want to pay £24 a month for 8 beers so I cancelled my subscription. It says that you have to phone but they were busy so I emailed them and they replied pretty quickly with some sob story that they are sorry to see me go and promising rewards if I come crawling back. They said the next order would be £16. It is tempting but I don't want to turn this into some kind of soap opera pish so I'm making a clean break. The beers themselves look pretty interesting. There's even a black pepper IPA that I'm keen to try. There's also a bag of some chickpea snack and a magazine. A pretty decent haul for £5.95. Eight beers a month is a nice amount of booze for me, and there’s some great stuff. Including this porter, which is a top five all time for me. Glorious.
