peasy23
Just noticed this and for sure brought back memories. It will never be the same from a tin sadly..Back in my bowling club member days I used to do the odd volunteer shift behind the bar. There was one guy nicknamed "two scoops" who always drank sweet black and tan, and it was cans of Sweetheart Stout that we used. The nickname came from him asking for and downing two scoops of Old Mull whisky while we were pouring his order.

A Black and Tan wisnae the cheapest option but mostly you got 2/3 to 3/4 of a pint along with the bottle of Sweetheart. You were totally pissed off at some establishments when the bottle was added by the bar staff and it just filled the pint glass.

Iminavest
Probably the best brewdog stout I've tasted. Sweet & smooth and at 6%, doesn't taste overwhelmingly strong.

Hedgecutter
A Long Vodka, having found a bottle of angostura bitters whilst digging through the drinks cabinet. Having looked up the recipe to make sure I remembered it correctly, I never realised that this was an almost exclusively Scottish drink. I have vague memories of folk putting the bitters in the glass, swirling them around the sides and then pouring it down the sink under the false pretence it was poisonous. Was that the way of it?

Pretty sure the idea the bitters are poisonous is the confusion that Angostura bitters were made from Angostura bark, which can be poisonous. In fact, they are just made in Angostura the place. But everything else is pretty much spot on. I have a vague memory from my bar work days of a colleague being shouted at by a drunk Weegie ned because she had been given a Vodka Lemonade and Lime when she asked for a Long Vodka, and that the drink served was a funny colour.
Le Tout P'ti FC
Wee pint of Jarl before the game. Pretty quiet! In fairness, the bar is full and they've opened the lounge as an overspill.

I did bottle some 330s but they are gone. 500ml might just be a tad too much to be having mroe than one. A nightcap sipper id say.
