  1. Get the impression he is wanting those in the squad currently to impress. Given he favours singing players from down south most likely will be close to the end of the window when clubs have done their business and know who they want to loan out.
  2. Just passed through naples to get train to sorrento in 2019. Was pre warned that the train to sorrento is well known for pick pockets especially when train goes through tunnels. Seen a few guys that appeared to be signalling and working together as a group. Confronted one of them so made it harder for them to target us.
  3. In my head idea would be folk ordering say at least 15 mins ahead if they want to collect at half time. I got my Burger about half an hour before kickoff so easy enough for me. If I had taken a fancy during game I probably wouldn't bother if it meant missing much of the game. 3pm isn't really a normal meal time but if you make it fast and convenient then less likely folk will be put off. Don't think touch screens are really practical for something used a day every fortnight. Heck if they want to go crazy have an app that integrates with the hub so you can order your pint etc.
  4. I had a cheeseburger with onion. £4 though very good portion and quality for that price. Also got a can of coke zero and surprised to be treated like a normal person and not rugby tackled by a steward for having a can. The can was £1 which is reasonable mark-up for fast food. The other options I could see you could get lorne sausage roll with black pudding or tattie scone. The contactless option was good to have they were still getting used to working it but was first day of it so should go smoothly as season goes on. Longer term would be good to have option to order from your phone and collect would speed things up on busy games.
  5. Not likely in foreseeable future. Maybe a Hearts, Hibs or Aberdeen if they were to do a sort of Brentford or Midtjylland model they can get closer and have runs in Europa league or conference can at least bring in enough money they can hold onto better players for longer or get more for them. Though to beat both the ugly sisters need a combination of Le Guen and Mowbury levels at the same time.
  6. Brechin most likely though make a couple of shots at the play offs. I do wonder though how many more clubs go down without returning for those left in league 2 to consider opening things up a bit more. Likes of Albion, Elgin, Stranraer and Stirling realistically must think it is highly likely the will be in this play off at some point in the next 5 years especially with some of the clubs that are coming up.
  7. The national league or conference is mostly full time I believe with maybe only 1 or 2 part time clubs. I would say that is probably most comparable to Scottish Championship and attendances as well probably correlate. So would assume national south is comparable with our league 1. I see Welling only just survived relegation which makes his goal tally that bit extra special. It would be equivalent I guess of us signing someone from someone like Peterhead who had been banging in a goal every 2nd game despite team struggling. His last 2 clubs he has been with for at least couple seasons so hopefully be able to settle in well.
  8. Sure I seen on here at start of season Maybole were putting in floodlights. Did it happen and are they likely to be going for licence in near future. Would also have thought Whitletts would go for it with facilities at Dam park.
  9. Austin McPhee seemed to make a big difference since coming on board. Like I said in previous post the squad as I understand only got together on Sunday except mini camp of 3 or 4 players last week. In my opinion bulk of squad should have been assembled a week earlier and could have used that time on things like set pieces. Pretty poor that 3 or 4 players feel need to arrange their own camp and that there was not a larger take up.
  10. In terms of preparation fair play to the players that set up their own camp but other than McKenna and Robertson the rest of the squad had been a week since their final club games if not more. Could the bulk of the squad not have gotten together a week earlier rather than Sunday?
  11. Reckon they will have a major signing or two on the day or during the vision night
  12. I have seen Ally on premier previously though just as a pundit I think. They have previously used same production team and pundits as BT Sport though probably won't have likes of Sutton or Craigan if a Scotland game. Probably Michael Stewart and since no other game at Wembley Ally as well.,
  13. Been a while since I posted here. I think its more anxiety that I am struggling with at the moment. Situation with work I have at the moment is really a no win scenario. Started this job in September and its decent enough not too stressful, set hours etc. Though couple months into the job I find out I'm there as someone was off on long term sick, never told this when offered the job, nothing mentioned in my contract. I without blowing me own trumpet have down a good job and they were impressed with me but was only when I found out about colleague off sick that they said they were looking to expand that area of the business and my job is secure and indeed passed probation and have set contract. Said colleague is now back and was off for cancer treatment which I can't imagine how difficult was and everyone including myself making sure their welcomed back and assistance as they gradually increase towards normal hours. Then my role is suppose to involve more projects which frankly they have not really defined yet. My colleague back a couple months now I think is doing what they can to undermine me and make me look bad in front of others. We share same workload and when I ask if something has been done so obvious it is not unnecessarily duplicated I get responded to as if I'm an idiot. If people from other parts of business come in and ask us questions I get spoken over by this colleague as if my opinion doesn't matter. There is few other things that I gave benefit of the doubt but does seem to be an attempt to push me out. My line manager is on holiday this week so will just need to speak to them next week and see if there is another role they can find me. Just not happy that I only find out after leaving another job for this that I'm basically insurance for them so if colleague didn't come back from leave they had someone there ready but not made me aware that was why I was there. I'm quite good at interviews so I suppose I can get something elsewhere but huger step back when I though I had something steady I could do least for a couple years. I play scenarios in my head and all I can do is not publicly say or do anything and I'll just see what my manager has to say. Called in sick today, do feel run down but just exhausted and think I just need relief of getting out of this situation.
  14. He was on Sky sports during Euros and wanting England to beat Scotland. Get the feeling he had a change of heart, both his caps are for friendlies and just before Fulham's first of 3 recent promotions so maybe thought he some how still had chance to play for England.
  15. Shankland really we did well to get him that last year. The club being in position now to offer 2-3 years is better situation though would expect Shankland and agent would realistically want a release clause for a lower end 6 figure sum if we were in position to offer that at the time.
  16. I notice Caernarfon Town have won the Welsh premier play off which is used to decide spot in this cup since Wales have lot a European place. Strangely BBC article also says The New Saints are going into the challenge cup. I though it was the highest placed teams not in Europe that would be invited yet the winners get in but 3rd and 4th don't but winners of this play off do. I haven't seen really any details on next years competition, is it reverting back to to pre covid and so non Scottish teams again invited. I assume sadly colt teams probably still involved. Can't see details on next years competition as yet, seem like the Welsh know more than we do.
  17. What are league 2 fans thoughts on amount of promotion and relegation slots in terms of if your own club are struggling at bottom end of the league. The current system means even in a very poor season you might just scrape survival but if and when you go down it must feel like it could take many years to return. Probably good chance that since east Stirling went down 2016 that no one will return within the first decade of that. Really do wonder how long before first returnee will be Could easily have 20% of the SPFL membership change before that happens.
  18. Her favourite biscuit is a clear sign she is risk averse. Steady win the race.
  19. If though you go as far as 18 team league at tier 2 then crowds will be surely lower as you wont have as many meaningful matches like we have had this season. Granted there is less jeopardy so maybe more likely to give young players more match time. Though I think likes of Ayr, Morton, Raith, QOTS and Queen Park there may be less need for full time football if they can just be at the high end of part time wages. Full time would really be only if you were making a real expected push for promotion to premier where as at the moment it is really if you want to a- be a championship club, b - sustain this over longer than couple years, c - get jammy cos league is relatively small and sneak into 4th for promotion play offs.
  20. Great result and performance by Stars. I was sat next to the Steelers fans, vast majority were fine cheered their team in the right way and clapped both teams off the ice. There was one lassie though just screaming that they were used to being on top and such like throughout the game and went into a melt down when Stars tied then won the tie thought at least in ice hockey grown adults only act like that online. Means so much when your a smaller club and you make it to a major semi or final. Great atmosphere tonight. The elite league have really screwed up they bumped the finals weekend tickets significantly and there is no option for concession tickets not even for kids. Imagine being a family of 4 from Belfast time you get flights, accommodation for 3 nights and all the food and drink could easily be a 4 figure sum. Nottingham the hosts got knocked out and Sheffield would bring the largest support form outside Nottingham but will be small given they are not there. Barely half the tickets have been sold hopefully be a lesson the league to not stick 2 fingers the fans that put so much money into them throughout lockdown.
  21. Actually thought we played well today like 2nd half last week. We lack that bit a leader on the park that can help on the pitch to organise and not let heads go down. While some of the players brought in have shown hunger and a point to prove having an older head that has played at a higher level or at least at top end of our own league for consistent period would help. QOTS to beat Inverness will need to give it their all on Tuesday. Hopefully they do that without getting a win and we face them deflated and nothing to play for. Dunfermline need to play on that Firhill pitch and having lost at home to Raith today Partick will want to take something so maybe play for a draw.
