  1. Both my kids are at Uni in Dundee, but I say "Let's sword these b'stards on Wednesday night" and let the young'uns keep a low profile for a few days!
  2. Two days without a post - where have y'all gone? I thought yesterday's combination of results was better for you than County, a lot depends on their trip to Well midweek but 11th spot is still within your reach.
  3. If the players get the impression that the rest of the season is a write off and give it less than their full commitment.
  4. Isn't bringing in Warnock for the rest of the season sorta giving up onit?
  5. That was a bit out of the blue. Wordle 960 3/6
  6. By City clubs I meant Aberdeen, Hertz & Hibs - Dundee are diddies like ourselves. Spotty for the confusion.
  7. Anything we get against the cheeks is a bonus, we'll lose more than we win against the city clubs but I feel we're competitive against our fellow diddies and hopefully today's performance and result can see us put a winning run together again.
  8. A loss for County against Well on Tuesday night would see them a long way away from 10th spot.
  9. ETA - That was a silly prediction, we'll still be 5th at least although I can't see Livi aiding our cause midweek.
  10. The worry would be if Aberdeen appointed Robinson we'd end up with Dougie Imrie...
  11. I think Oran Kearney's Jan window two years later tops it - that penalty shoot out against Dundee Utd. I sauntered on towards the end of the pitch invasion and liberated part of the penalty spot, still in my back garden near one of the drying poles.
  12. Wasn't serious, my memory is we've signed a number of strikers late on in the January Window (an Israeli a few years ago?) and none of them have made significant contributions - I'm OK on missing out on KvV. I say it time to stick...
  13. Dundee's other game is against Hertz. Hibs, whose recent form is worse than ours, other game is against the Green cheeks. Even one draw out of our two games should be enough to keep us in the Top6 for at least this period - there's gloomy and then there's gloomy.
  14. Two big games coming up Hibs (a) then Dundee (h) that are going to have a massive influence on whether we make the Top6 two seasons running.
  15. Who's gonna tell Nigel this?
  16. Looking at the tables it's interesting to see that most of the bottom 2/3 clubs in each division have already changed managers this season, the notable exceptions being two of @Skyline Drifters Untouchables - Annan/Peter Murphy & Livingston/David Martindale.
  17. Remember the 90s when it was the other way round and Well pinched Billy Davies, Paul Lambert & Brian Martin - the music was better too.
  18. That's not unique to Motherwell though, I'm sure every Saints manager says the same at least once per transfer window.
  19. My favourite is an etc. After the penalty shootout against Dundee Utd. a few seasons ago I liberated part of the penalty spot which is now in my back garden near one of the drying poles.
  20. You get to a stage in these sorta Test matches where the tension just grows and the first 2½ where India were on top just seems to extrapolate this and I agree there is nothing else in sport that quite matches it. Below is the cricinfo summary at Teatime on Day 3 where they are predicting a win for India - anyone backing England at this stage would've made a pretty penny. Thought we'd get one more over, but nope, that is tea. It's been a compelling session, one in which India have tightened their grip on this contest with a succession of wonderballs. Jadeja's two-card trick to Bairstow and Ashwin's humdinger to Stokes were the killer blows, but Ollie Pope has been excellent. And as for Jasprit Bumrah, he is just a masterful seam bowler who transcends all conditions. India will win this Test, surely, but England have had their moments in adversity. Hemant will be back shortly.
