  1. FT 1-0 Six wins in a row then, easy. As expected Motherwell did improve second half, but not by much. We didn't create as much as we did first half, but still saw it out pretty comfortably. Should have won by more really, Olusanya missed two sitters in the last five minutes and cracked the inside of the post. That was closer than Well came all day. No surprises really, we are a better team than them. That's fine, quarter final here we come. One game away from Hampden, kind draw please. Boyd-Munce MOTM for sure, great call and was lively throughout, looks a real find.
  2. HT 1-0 Yep controlled and dominant performance from ourselves so far. Certainly deserve to be ahead, lovely goal from Boyd-Munce from the edge of the box, ripped it right into the net. Foot like a traction engine, etc. Motherwell have looked hopeless, but I’m sure they won’t be that bad second half, so I feel we are going to need that second goal.
  3. There’s dominance and then there’s Djokovic’s head to head record against Gael Monfils. He beat him in straight sets in Cincinnati last night to extend his career record to 19-0 against him, then signed his shirt…
  4. Ah it’s only Tuesday! I’ll be there but hadn’t even thought about buying my ticket yet. Should be a decent crowd I think.
  5. Superb straight win for Murray against Djokovic in Cincinnati today. Could this be a return to form for the old master?
  6. Watched Hell or High Water at the weekend, one of the best movies I’ve seen for years. So much so that when it finished and the Mrs went to bed, I rewound it and watched it a second time. Only 1 hour 40 long but packs plenty into it. The extreme violence never seemed frivolous either.
  7. Bit disappointed at the lack of ‘game’s gone, this can’t last, bubble’s going to burst’ type posts that normally follow a record breaking transfer like this.
  8. Yeah the officials did Dundee a massive favour yesterday, twice, yet they still lost. Worrying times for the Dees.
  9. Delusion is never a good sign that early into a job, he came across very like as the assistant manager he is in that interview. He’ll be gone by Christmas IMO, to be replaced by John ‘Yogi’ Hughes. Then Tony can go back to his happy place of putting the cones out for Del at Killie.
  10. FT 2-1 Did get a bit complacent second half after all, made it much more difficult for ourselves than it should have been. Just didn't get going second 45. In saying that, three VAR calls today, all went against us. The pen, the Dundee goal, and our goal that was over the line and bizarrely not given. So if you have three game defining decisions like that going against you, and still get the three points, it's a good day. Thought our best player was Tanser, cruised it and has nailed down that left back spot as his own. Mandron looks like a 10-15 goal a season striker as well, good. As for Dundee, they look like a Championship team in the Premiership, again, they'll struggle this season, again. Routine three points for us against a bottom feeder. Onwards to the tougher challenges to come, with confidence.
  11. HT 2-0 As expected, and the scoreline is a fair reflection, if anything we should be further ahead. Been in total control from the start. Like Charlie Adam before him, Captain Joe knows where his bread is buttered. Delightful flicked finish into the corner from the big man for our opening goal. From then we continued to press forward, smacked the bar, had several other opportunities. Dundee not really in it at all, then get one of those random VAR pens for something that happened that no one - including the Dundee players - claimed for at the time. They missed it thankfully, pathetic pen easily saved by Hemming. What is it about Dundee and pens into that goal? They've taken four of them in the last 12 months, and missed them all. Normal service resumed after that, Mandron doubles the lead with a nice header from a corner on HT. The only way we don't get three points here is if we get complacent second half. Let's not. Think Tanser having a good game again, Mandron leading the line well too and Kiltie continuing his good form.
  12. Yeah it was quite the collapse. To go from that position to not even being in contention for the top five in the last game was quite something. The loss at home to Killie really killed us.
  13. Met them twice in Paisley since then, won both. Beat them 2-0 to effectively relegate them in May 2022, Grieve opened the scoring after a delightful turn and assist by Saints legend Charlie Adam. Then we had that 0-0 Scottish Cup stinker last season, before a hilarious penalty shoot out, that we won 3-0. The recent dominance over them is what you'd expect from an established top flight club against a yo-yo club, but we can't be complacent tomorrow.
  14. Servette win this tie comfortably IMO. Surprised at the confidence among a section of Rangers fans.
  15. If rubbish like Aberdeen can finish third, why can’t we?
  16. FT 2-3 Lovely start and a well deserved win. Should have been a much more comfortable three points than it was, but that's okay. A win is a win, a win is a win. I know it's only Hibs, but it’s really encouraging stuff. That winning goal is a thing of beauty. Penned back to 2-2 and seemingly hanging on for a point. Kiltie released down the right, no support up with him at all. Meanders a bit, looks like he's going to head for the corner to time waste, takes a look up and Grieve has made a run to catch up with him. Swings a beautiful cross in right on his napper, and what a finish by the Kiwi. Lovely. Delighted for him too. He's not had the easiest few months, some personal issues at home and his form dipped a bit towards the end of last season. He'll definitely be 'buzzing mate' with that goal.
  17. What a ball that is from Kiltie and what a header from Grieve. Superb stuff.
  18. Yep said the same. There’s being bold and there’s being caught on the counter while 2 up away from home with 20 minutes to go. Really weird goal to lose at that point of the match. Need to hold on for a point now.
  19. Whitletts 2-2 Johnstone Burgh Late equaliser for the Burgh keeps the unbeaten start going.
