  1. Yep, he was asked to step out of the queue but insisted he was staying, so he was told fair enough, but you won't be allowed in when you get to the front of the queue. 2 kids were under 6 I would think, his missus looked mortified. Didn't see what happened after that as they were 8 or 9 places behind me in the queue.
  2. Sad news, Don Shula passed away this morning.
  3. You have to wonder what precautions they were using in this home for so many people to be infected. 29 of 34 patients plus 27 staff. BBC News - Coronavirus: Death at care home with 56 cases https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-highlands-islands-52529893 Bit of a rammy at Tesco this morning, there is always one member of staff checking the queue, and he went inside to get one of the managers. There was a family of 4 in the queue, and it was made clear to them that they would not be allowed in the store as a group. Cue the dad going ballistic, "you can't tell me what to do, you have no authority to stop us all coming in." p***k.
  4. Scanned and posted a load of stuff for the Petershill Facebook page that I have been meaning to do for ages.
  5. Black ball final between Davis and Taylor on the red button just now. Davis just about to go 8-0 up.
  6. It would be utterly useless then, as all you have to do is turn your Bluetooth off.
  7. I like a lot of his stuff, went to Disneyland Paris a few years back and stayed in the New York hotel. Most of the artwork in the hotel was Hopper stuff, and when you see it large scale like some of it was it looks fantastic. I like this video from YouTube
  8. I forgot about Robert Burns too until I scanned his picture earlier.
  9. Yes, you could actually be furloughed from multiple jobs as long as they are all on PAYE.
  10. Mid to late 70s rather than early, as you say he played with Norrie Fulton, and Norrie was with us from 75 to 79. Tam Gourlay was his name, certainly a character. In this picture there are a few other notable names, including Dougie Friedman and Jimmy Robertson. Tam is in the middle of the back row with the waterproof on. I only have vague memories of him, one of them was him almost getting booked for arguing with the ref after he had awarded us a goal kick, Tam was adamant that it should have been a corner as he got a touch on the shot.
  11. One of many top class goalies we've had at Petershill over the years. Danny Moy Sandy McLean Gerry McLaughlin Neil Parry David Hutton Scott Black Steven McNeil A few older fans will say top of the list should be John Bett who played in the 60s, and wore all black in respect of his hero Lev Yashin.
  12. Glasgow City council certainly aren't committing themselves to allowing any extra leave to he carried forward, and are still telling folk that any 2020 leave has to be used by the end of January 2021. They have also put a block on anyone trying to cancel holidays which they have already entered into the system, which the unions are understandably fighting. It's ludicrous to expect people to take annual leave when the reason they have booked them have been postponed. E.g. one of my wife's colleagues had booked last Monday off as she was supposed to do the Kiltwalk on the Sunday, but they wouldn't let her cancel that one single day.
  13. Which they won't be. Gordon Ronney's let's all stick together mantra will be right out the window now that his own team is in at Tier 6.

    The Chase

Fair play to the woman who took on all 5 chasers and won 60k, but the chasers made a rip roaring c**t of it.
  15. I've never really understood why anyone would choose the sleeper with the new pricing structure, even more so now. No lounge access or any bar service on the train, passengers are sent straight to their cabin. Serco made a big song and dance about the new cooked breakfasts, which the staff were playing chap door runaway with up til a couple of weeks ago, they would just dump the breakfast tray on the floor, knock the cabin door, then make a hasty retreat. They have stopped that now and replaced it with a breakfast bag, containing a carton of juice, a yoghurt and a croissant.
  16. I watched Local Hero on Saturday night. I haven't watched it right through for years, it's damn near as close to perfection as a film can get imo.
  17. Had a blether with my cousin a wee while ago, she is working nightshift on the Caledonian Sleeper. Serco have reduced the number of trains running, with the service leaving from Glasgow, then going to Edinburgh via Motherwell and Carstairs, the crew then switch with the northbound service from London at Lockerbie. The southbound service tonight has 1 passenger, the northbound has 5. They have been standard numbers for the last month or so, with double figures only reached a few times. Putting staff at risk for no reason imo, they would be losing less money by putting the staff on furlough.
  18. Trouble is though that they won't, the only people who will be swayed are folk that were directly affected by losing a loved one.
