  1. I think he'll be coaching, but it won't be at Dallas. If Prescott wants paid he has to get the finger out and play much better in the last few games. He threw some awful passes last night.
  2. As I mentioned further up, this part of the season is a great chance to get some points in the bag early with most of the top players having a break. Grant Forrest and David Law also in for the weekend so hopefully they can all have good weekends.
  3. I've no idea what the worst record to win a division is, but the NFC East must be getting close to it this year. It could be the end of the line for Garrett in Dallas, even though they might still win the division.
  4. Atlas Park was our second ground and as you say was between Edgefauld Road and the railway line, next to the Atlas Locomotive Works. There was no connection other than the name, and we had to move from there as they expanded to build a munitions factory before WW1 broke out. In the attached pic Atlas Park is behind the fence on the left.
  5. I'm at work, only caught the last 30 seconds of the first half and the 3rd quarter so far. Can't pin all the Cowboys woes on Prescotf, but he has had some dreadful throws. They need a TD from this drive to have any chance.
  6. IIRC the tracks still ran to just about the back end of Brig O'Lea into the early 1980s. I'm sure the trains used to run up there to switch tracks for the return trip to Glasgow. I'll get my anorak.
  7. Latest report is that it was a sailor who shot 2 civilian staff before killing himself.
  8. Just finished watching Resurfacing. I was amazed at the level of access the film makers were given, especially as Andy has always kept his children out of the public eye. Lesser men would have chucked it long ago, or gone for the metal hip and just thought they would take it easy from then on. Andy was on the One Show last week and admitted that this was a very different documentary from the original intention. Filming was only supposed to be for a few months to film his recovery and return after the first hip op, but that didn't go at all to plan. He said if they had known what was going to happen months down the line then he almost certainly wouldn't have let them film it.
  9. Genuinely saddened by that. My first memory of watching cricket is the 81 Headingley Ashes test, and as brilliant as Botham and Dilley's stand was, it would have counted for nothing without Willis steaming in and skittling the Aussies out. I was just watching him and Botham reminiscing about it on Sky last week. Sky have a lot of cheerleaders on their sports coverage at times, but Bob played his role of being the complete opposite brilliantly. He got some stick from the players at times, but a lot of his criticism about England in red ball cricket has been bang on the money.
  10. Donald says he doesn't know Prince Andrew..
  11. The whole thing was a massive let down. It was one of the first sci-fi books I ever read and that was thanks to hearing the musical version. When I saw the first couple of trailers I thought, yes, at last, a version that is going to be fairly true to the book. Couldn't have been more wrong tbh.
  12. Both. The instructions were to leave it with our neighbour if there was no answer. That and the fact the nugget who delivered it couldn't even put a card through the door.
  13. Purple bin this time. Have had parcels left in most of those mentioned at one time or other. Been a few other fictional places too, one being "porch at back door ". We don't have a fecking porch.
  14. Just finished part 3, can't remember watching anything which deteriorated so badly from the start to the finish. First episode was ok, but it's just got steadily worse all the way through. The post further up that they must have blown the special effects budget by the time they got to the end is spot on imo.
  15. Got a parcel delivered yesterday by Hermes, quite surprised to get this message on their tracking system, considering the only outbuilding we have is a shed which is securely locked. Guess where the parcel was left?
  16. Surprised at the timing myself tbh, thought he would have saw out the season.
  17. Personally, as far as test matches go I can't see them ditching Sibley after just 2 matches, so the first 4 stays as Burns, Sibley, Denly and Root. 5 & 6 Stokes and Pope or vice versa 7 Bairstow or Buttler If they want a spinner then it has to be Moeen at 8, then 3 quicker bowlers after that, and that varies depending on who is fit. If they are all fit then Archer, Broad and Anderson, if Anderson is still injured then Woakes in his place. I do think there is a good case though for picking 4 seamers and for Root to bowl more. They had a lengthy chat last night on TMS before play started saying how hard it was for Archer to bowl quickly consistently. I don't remember that ever being a problem for Ambrose, Walsh etc. If he is going to bowl the same speeds as Broad then they would be as well leaving him out and playing Woakes or Curran who can swing it more.
  18. Managed to miss England out, but that's what I meant to post. Definitely a tough team to beat on their own patch. Wagner was given player of the series for his 13 wickets, he was impressive tbh, kept up a high level of consistency even when bowling long spells. One thing that jumped out when they showed the all time list of Kiwi batsmen when Taylor passed 7000 runs, 4 of the top 10 are all in the current side and all average 40+.
  19. Match abandoned at 4pm local time, NZ winning back to back to back home Test series against England for the first time ever. The Kiwis face Australia next, while England head to South Africa with the first test starting on Boxing Day.
