Holt has been good for us but it's more who replaces him that's the concern. The options are Brownlie who doesn't seem to have properly recovered yet from being out injured for a year, Akinola who started last season really well then hit a bad patch of form and now looks devoid of all confidence or we move McMillan from right back and then start Hodson which seems fine but Milne and McMillan have been good at full back and I'd rather not mess with that when possible. Muirhead has been the biggest surprise of the season for me. He hasn't let us down so far.

The fact of the matter is you've no idea if they are 42nd and 43rd, it's possible that there's 9 players who are 42-50 that he does keep in contact with yet you're deciding to be disappointed in him for something you are pretty much guessing about on the basis of Gauld not being contacted.

Clarke has called up 41 players in the last year with Gauld and Wallace nowhere to be seen, how far into the fringes does Clarke need to be speaking to players for you not to be disappointed?
