  1. I thought they weren't actually Rangers any more?
  2. I wonder if Hearts will use the same "names out of a hat" method for appointing a new manager?
  3. True but my emergency room is full! A family can't survive on popcorn and alcohol alone!
  4. Given the general predictions of a World recession in 2020......the stadium Mike be a while off yet!
  5. Florence is absolutely beautiful. I'd like to visit Bologna though. Verona is worth a visit........ especially in opera season (summer time). Witnessing Carmen in a 2000 year old apetheatre is quite something!
  6. Again, Celtic can afford to wait for a talent to develop over more years, whereas Club with less money are forced to "cut and run" after a period of time. For example: Beckham never broke into the Man Utd team until 23yo.......a player at Kilmarnock wouldn't be afforded the same luxury.
  7. Think of player development as a conveyor belt, Willie, albeit that some players only get so far along the conveyor belt. Celtic can afford to buy(and pay) players much further along the conveyor belt than the likes of Kilmarnock. Celtic can also afford the best scouting network which identifies the potential in youngsters. They also pay their youngsters more. It's quite simple, Willie. Money talks.
  8. Ok, I'll try to break this down to a simplistic terms as possible.....take a look at all the leagues around Europe and the Clubs that dominate them: Real, Barca, Benfica, Porto, Bayern, Juve, PSG, Man City, Chelsea, Man Utd. What's the common denominator?
  9. Any tips (or even better, providing!) an edit for FM 2015 with: 16 team SPFL Premiership (3down/2up + PO 3rd,4th,5th,6th) 16 team SPFL Championship Regional pyramid below. 20players over 21yo max, 20players under 21yo max. 5 non Scots rule. Old style European competitions (EC, ECWC, UC - all knock out format) Is this possible?
  10. This has been my life for the last 2 years.......and foreseeable future. I regularly carry my hot water bottle around with me
  11. Hopefully it'll drive the 2012 incarnation into the ground like the original......then we can watch Celtic wither at the vine again.
  12. Celtic have replaced Tierney with Bolingoli-Mbomboa and arguably Kilmarnock's best player in Taylor......and he's not even getting a game! Yes all Clubs lose players but it's far harder to find a gem when your shopping in the bargain basement bin.
  13. Is having only 2 professional (full time) teams in Scotland the reason why we have so little strength in depth? Could we support (financially) 2 or 3 more teams like the Welsh and Irish have? Aberdeen? Dundee? Stirling?
  14. China is only Communist in the Political sense. Not the economic sense. Their form of Capitalism also infuriates the Americans too!
  15. Celtic have players that don't even make their match day squad that would be stand out players at Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibs et al. Having this depth in relative quality makes a huge difference over the course of a season.
  16. Was it Brentford that did away with their youth development entirely, and used the money saved to pick up released 19/20yo's from the bigger Clubs? I'm sure they did this because of continually losing promising youngsters to bigger Clubs and getting f**k all compensation.
  17. Cheers. Regardless of them being unrelated, my point is that without addressing the underlying issue of shortages (of whatever services/etc), UBI will just raise the base level. The demand remains the same whilst people would have £x amount of guaranteed additional income. I'm not adverse to helping people, I just don't think UBI is the answer. I personally believe providing basic housing, power, food, transportation would be more beneficial and have less economic impact.
  18. No longer an issue thankfully, I'm fully acclimatised these days.
  19. It isn't really. For example, there's a shortage of affordable housing, both private and social, giving everyone £1000/month won't reduce the shortage. Rents would just go up accordingly.

  21. By using previously gained wealth to fund or develop other projects......some of which may just be for the greater good of humanity (clean energy sources, illness cures etc). Rumour goes that we might already have had "free energy" had Tesla had the self funding wealth as opposed to having his loans withdrawn by JP Morgan.
  22. The effect on inflation would cancel out any benefit of UBI. You be better off providing services that people need that artificially giving them monetary wealth.
  23. It really isn't worth getting angry over. Seriously, life's too short.
  24. I wasn't suggesting that billionaires have it tough! Some become hugely successful and wealthy due to continually developing much sought after products. Should this be discouraged? Also, as asked below, how do you propose this is redistributed?
