I think you're probably being a bit nit-picky here. There's no way that Rodgers gets the criticism he deserves for Celtic's European travails, and while you're right in saying it's a poorly constructed sentence - to focus on the semantics rather than the observation probably proves this point.

What part do you disagree with? AFAIK Rodgers' has presided over Celtic's biggest home defeat, and biggest away in the clubs European history - his record is appalling. These matches are where a Celtic manager should be judged, and for me he's consistently come up short.

@DA Baracus, a great post - and another facet of a real reactionary tone I feel is increasingly present in the game up here. I was saying to a pal of mine that, since Martin Canning's departure, the average current tenure of managers in the four senior leagues is just a bar over 18 months. There's a complete lack of stability in terms of playing staff and management at most clubs. Don't get me wrong, I felt Canning was long past his sell-by date and get quite aggrieved at the inevitable media rhetoric of consternation at "wee Accies'" temerity in not being content with their lot. But generally there's definitely a balance being missed.

Well they're not winning it in the next four years, so I think it's probably something you should start adjusting to. The golden age for the cups in this country began with Kilmarnock's infamous Timskelping of 2012, and ended with Hibs' cinematic win in 2016. Anyone without a W in that period, well, shame on you.
