  1. Another good episode. The end of Ro Laren, and the conspiracy is deeper than we thought.
  2. The kids enjoyed it a lot. It was OK but I would say it wasn't great value given the cost. For me, I had more fun in the rest of the museum. I think the kids did too - driving the F1 simulator, looking at the bones and so on. We did an hour in the exhibition and about 2 and a half hours in the rest of the museum. It was Science Saturday so we saw robots and other stuff that isn't normally there. Then in the afternoon we went to HMV, Forbidden Planet and the Lego shop. a good day out.
  3. That last episode was long and very boring. Losing the will with it.
  4. Not your fault at all. My dad had a similar thing. He was a policeman and one night was chasing a burglar. The burglar tried jumping over a short wall but his foot caught it as he was going over. He landed on his head, and had life changing injuries as a result. I know that haunted my old man for a long time, even though it wasn't his fault. Just a freak occurrence .
  5. The Leisure Hive was really poor. Did not like it one bit. The music, the script, the acting all painful. Meglos was far better, decent storyline and some of the music settled down a bit. But the best bit, of course, was Jacqueline Hill returning. Shame her character was a bit poor; they could have given he so much more.
  6. Series finished now but very fascinating. The wife, watching it, decided she wouldn't let any of them out. Ever.
  7. The title race isn't a race at all. Not in a million years is Perez going to be able to challenge Verstappen. The only thing that could shake it up is if Verstappen does a Schumacher and break his leg mid-season. That aside, there are other really interesting things going on. McLaren is a fascinating watch - they still talk like a big team but they have been dugshite for years now. Piastri must be thinking he's made a mistake. Had he stayed at Alpine he could have had points. Remember - McLaren haven't won a constructor's title in 25 years. Spent force. Aston Martin is an interesting story - they are properly putting in the infrastructure. I reckon they could be challengers in a couple of years. Mercedes - at no point was Russell under any pressure of being passed by the "GOAT". The pendulum is swinging. It is all a bit thin. But I have lived through seasons of one car dominance (2002 was the one that almost broke F1, the title won in July). Can Verstappen do that this year? Maybe.
  8. For some reason he seems happiest in the final picture
  9. Lance Stroll quicker than both Mercedes
  10. You might be better off posting this in the General Nonsense section - this sub-forum is to do with women's football matches. Good luck with the project.
  11. Jeezo, this thread today is devastating! Nowt to look forward to on any front...
  12. The Mating Season by PG Wodehouse. Typical Jeeves and Wooster storyline and as always hilarious. Written in 1949 at the height of his feud with AA Milne, he takes quite a few digs at him in the text. His books are as close to perfect as comedy writing gets.
  13. Another F1 driver - Jacques Villeneuve. In the mid-90s he was a superstar in American racing. Came to F1 in 1996 and was runner-up in his maiden season to Damon Hill, then became champion in 1997. In 1998 the whole Williams team fell off a cliff but he still out-drove the pisspoor car. Then his career dived hard. He joined the new BAR team that was a dog's dinner. Finished 21st in the standings in 1999. For me though the real drop came in 2001. He was in an accident that killed a marshal in Australia and after that, he was no longer outperforming bad cars, but underperforming everywhere. He drove for Renault and Sauber and was rotten at both. He's never been competitive anywhere since.
  14. DS9 really covered how to do this with phaser sweeps and blood testing. Looking for a bucket (which by the end Odo never used) was a little odd.
  15. Off to the NMS Doctor Who exhibition tomorrow. The kids are looking forward to it.
  16. The solution has been found. £20 for a suitcase cover with your own face on it.
  17. I'll still watch these but jings, this could get tough by the sounds of it.
  18. Bought an Irish Stout kit from the Range. Put it on yesterday and got it fermenting. As I was clearing away all the stuff I noticed it had a best before end date of February 2023. I'm assuming the 2 weeks won't make any difference - anyone have experience of this? Am I in for a white knuckle ride of stomach agony?
  19. KEIR STARMER EXCLUSIVE All about the SNP by the looks of it.
