  1. Which website is this on @The Master? Be useful for the future.
  2. Eni Aluko every bit as hate worthy as her brother. Have to say Scotland have looked a much more mature team than the one that got beat by a piss poor hoofball playing South Ireland. With largely similar personnel.
  3. Superb response. Clinical stuff, Mon Scotland
  4. That's a dreadful goal to lose. Full backs on their heels at both goals. Weak stuff
  5. Also the coverage is grimly one sided. Hoped for some sort of balance but nope, nothing.
  6. That did look offside and Martha Thomas was clattered. Scotland getting f**k all here.
  7. I was meaning to post this before now but my god, Nick Mullins is a dreadful commentator. Just keeps talking absolute inane shite with no break. The BT Sport Darren Fletcher of rugby union.
  8. Good news: Stephen Kenny is staying until the end of the year. https://www.rte.ie/sport/soccer/2023/0914/1405230-kenny-to-remain-in-charge-for-rest-of-euro-campaign/ Presumably because they are skint and don't believe they will get a playoff, therefore no need to pay someone more money to come in to prepared. Fantastic to see South Ireland this pish and supporting a loser.
  9. I imagine most of the insightful tactical stuff has been said already so here's a few eclectic thoughts from last night: Bellingham is an absolutely ridiculous footballer. Just magnificent. Up there with the best I've seen against us at Hampden. A level above all of his team mates with the possible exception of Foden, who was pretty good also. It was a good lesson tonight for us to be more brave in our play as a team and the coach just to be quicker and braver. The one time we played with bravery, we coughed up a goal. Robertson played with real fear against Walker first half and it probably led to the shakiness that cost the second goal. With Clarke, the Dykes change needed to be at half time and the formation change was 10 minutes too late. Hard to be overly critical as even with those aspects, we probably still would have been beaten. My only other criticism is of our pressing and setup defensively. We played a high defensive line last night but had no clear plan for the midfield and Adams to press England high and early. As such we sat off the likes of Rice, Phillips and their back four who were then able to pick balls over the top of our back line with ease. This have Kane, Rashford, Foden and Bellingham a field day of being able to outrun our back 5 and rip us open with consumate ease on a number of occasions. If England had a good manager, they would beat France to Euro 2024. The players they have are seriously good and as mentioned above, they looked more like a ruthless Germany team instead of the rabble of individuals they traditionally have been. Fortunately, Southgate will shit the bed against France. The Kane song was just plain embarrassing and disgusting. The Maguire cheering and barracking was absolutely fair game and he repaid in full with the OG. Booing GSTK is fair game also. I have no respect for the anthem, the Royal Family and what they stand for. Probably a timely lesson and reality check for us, but hard to get massively upset. It was the least important game this break for us and we are well on track for the Euros. Perhaps I'm in a minority but I hate playing England and would be happy not to see them for 15 years.
  10. Absolutely glorious stuff. That was an absolute stroll, what a group of players. To go out there, make no excuses about the heat and just get it done in half an hour shows the elite mentality among this group. The players and Clarke deserve huge amounts of credit. In fact Clarke is a god among men. Gone are the days of scraping by Cyprus in 2019. Gone are the days where Strachan handed weak players the "we don't have to win" line in Georgia in 2015, where the heat was to blame. On a night where Croatia, Armenia and Turkey have combined to sink West England and the two Irelands are already fucked out automatically, it really is glorious. Not that I've a 2016 sized chip on my shoulder.
  11. I agree entirely that the one word review nailed it. Viva Espana
  12. The Vernon and Masson midfield combined when Masson coming on after 30 minutes on #topofthetabletuesday - it was predictably pish. Magennis scored that wonderful goal however. https://www.afcheritage.org/matches/match-report?id=7124
  13. Shudder. Having successfully avoided all forms of video footage of the Livingston game, I dread to think what Sunday could be like to watch.
  14. Do we have to? Hopefully we go after them and have a right go but I have a bad feeling we will sit in and encourage them onto us.
  15. Hope two achieved. Fingers crossed now for hope one.
  16. Obviously would like to see England crash out unexpectedly early but my second hope is Ireland get pumped out in the groups too. Their style of play is brutal to watch (yes it did for our underachieving Scotland team) and I'm a bitter human being.
  17. Impressively brainless stuff from Broad
  18. For some bizarre reason I am glued to this. Utterly compelling to watch England being held off. Admiration for Lyon because this is superb but idiotic levels of commitment to his country.
  19. Magnificent night for the club and all of us. Not going into a long spiel as @DrewDonsummed it up beautifully. Just want to place on the record that Barry Robson, Steve Agnew, Liam Fox, Scott Anderson and Craig Samson have done a brilliant job in turning that 10 days in Edinburgh and Darvel into European football next season. A very likeable team since February, well done all.
  20. An amazing end to the Championship last night and some huge games in the bottom six today. Build up to 3pm, dominated by VAR. It's a crying shame that Cove getting relegated won't result in Richard Gordon returning to Saturdays on Sportsound. This season has been brutal.
  21. That was comfortable in the end second half. Which shows the progress under Robson. Magic from the team. Clarkson is magic, Ramadani superb today and the back 5 are just what you want at our level. Love defending. Duk was quieter today. Some header from Miovski.
  22. The extra game is absolutely crap. However, it was pretty clear to me this appeal wasn't going to succeed. Ultimately Shinnie did catch Baldwin halfway up his shin, which does endanger Baldwin's safety (fully aware Baldwin endangers Shinnie also, which was missed). Unfortunately it is a red card offence in 2023. That 3 officials on the field of play missed that is more to do with the standard of Scottish officiating at the top level being utterly pish than anything else. I realise I'm going against the grain here, but I'd be very pleasantly surprised if this gets reviewed again and overturned. Ever hopeful though. My real anger is at the extra game, which is pathetic and unnecessary, just as it was for Porteous last season. What's the point in an appeals system that punishes you further for using it?
  23. Have to say very interesting watching us live. Without being all that exciting. We're absolutely obsessed with getting back into shape when we lose the ball. Absolutely rabid at it. Reminds me of the Steve Clarke Kilmarnock or the 2020 Scotland team. Clarkson is told to sit while Shinnie is allowed to roam. Duk works his bollocks off defensively while Miovski is the one up. McCrorie is an excellent RWB and Hayes is a good LWB. Scales is enough to give you a heart attack but Pollock is a Rolls Royce of a defender. I like Roos, solid. Robson clearly doesn't trust the squad in terms of the boys on the bench to see out the 1-0, and he's right to do so, as those were the boys who let us down under Goodwin. That was a proper McInnes style see out a 1-0, but we did it well.
