  1. Did they make a call on that? Was it red and I missed it?
  2. Well, BP before half time despite playing quite poorly in parts. I think sometimes we try to force it, especially against teams like this at times, but it's when they go through their phases, build pressure and trust the set peice when they look so much better.
  3. Some of the offside he's ignoring here is quite something. It's not even "line speed" offside, it's too fucking lazy to ever bother getting onside, offside.
  4. I think so. Even Shitehouse couldn't f**k us on that one.
  5. Why are we so desperate to throw these ridiculous offloads. Just keep it tight and play, this is really poor so far, and Tonga haven't been great.
  6. Yet the offside decision is not "Clear and obvious".
  7. It's one of these ones where not is it "not clear and obvious" which we were told with regular boring monotony is the reason the goal against Dundee and the Aberdeen pen couldn't be overturned, but literally nobody would complain if that had stood. Nobody involved in the match thought it was offside. Pre Bar that would have been given and not a single Hearts fan would be on here complaining about offside. The ref really did manage the game very badly, the one that really annoyed me was that after the "offside goal" he lets Hearts take the resulting free kick quickly from halfway inside their own half while none of the opposition are set, which lets Hearts get right up the pitch, instead of making them take it from the 6 yard box.
  8. Have to be honest, I wasn't keen on moving Gogic back to CB. Thought he was a bit flaky there and we lost too much in midfeild. I was wrong, absolutely magnificent again today.
  9. I'm also loving the fact all these wins have genuinely been against all the odds. There hasn't been a single game so far where "honest mistakes" from the anti St Mirren officials haven't gone against us, yet we prevail.
  10. Best bit was big Lawrence going charging in then tripping over the ball and tumbling over as it trickled out for a throw in. Oh, how we laughed!
  11. Yeah, I just watched the highlights there, Scotland have come a long way!
  12. Remember the world cup game we played against Samoa when we had to win but couldn't catch kick off, so everytime we scored we immediately conceded straight from kick off? As the clock was running down and we were in their half we couldn't kick pens because we knew they were scoring a try from the resulting kick off. That was a real wild time as a Scotland fan.
  13. Says a lot about the guy that even with all the competition from Ireland, Wales, England and South Africa, Montoya is still easily one of the most dislikeable rugby players in the world.
  14. I also think Cummings and Skinner are good players, and maybe having Turner throwing to a mostly Glasgow set of jumpers might help a bit. Skinner also gives you more options on a 5/3 split on the bench than Gilchrist. The guy's coming on are all way more attacking than the guys they will be replacing, apart from Nel, so I think you are right, keep it tight first half then throw on Horne, Graham, Jones, Schoe, Ashman and Fagerson. That's a lot of carriers coming on second half.
  15. Fiji v Wales was also a classic, although a bad outcome and one of the most one sided refereeing performances you'll see!
  16. Scotland team for Sunday. Looks ok to me. Can understand why he's gone for Steyn and Harris as more solid options to start the game, Tonga have a lot of quality in the centers and back 3. Wee bit surprised to see Sutherland straight into the starting lineup, but he's a good player so hopefully will show it.
  17. Leaving Dupont on against a tired, cloggy and very poor and very, very beaten team at that point was unnecessary and stupid. Actually, tbf, I just checked and it was earlier in the half than I remembered. Still, whilst I understand France wanting to make a statement after the bitty performance against Uruguay, surely after what happened with N'tamack they protect the one other player they can't afford to lose at this stage.
  18. I feel like South Africa have basically only picked the 7/1 bench split for the Ireland game to wind up Matt Williams. Which is fair enough.
  19. It always makes me laugh that these dorks seem to think we've not seen all this shit on here 100 times before and see right through it. "Oh, I just randomly signed up to a Scottish football forum in passing and decided, instead of giving my thoughts on the recent East Fife v Montrose game, what was really needed was a debate on the hot topic of halal meat. I'm not a weird racist or anything doing the same old dog whistling, honest".
  20. Japan's only chance of scoring a try here is someone catching the ball and running the whole length of the pitch. As soon as they have to do anything rugbyish like pass, kick, or ruck they might as well just hand the ball to the nearest England player.
  21. Well, that pretty much sums this game up. Good news lads is that it hit Joe Marlers head so the after match bants will be EPIC!!!
  22. Aye, everything is just a fingertip away. The 2019 team would have three tries here at least
  23. Japan used to be so skillful, but it feels like that's the bit really letting them down here, can't catch the offload, can't take the chip through, even under little pressure at times. As I write this another dropped pass in the middle of the pitch under no pressure.
  24. Such a poor game after the one earlier today. Japan are quite poor and England are quite boring, taking it all the way back to the late 00's Warrenball style.
