  1. If it's John Hughes, they can feck right off, the only folk who think he's worth it are his media pals (great guy, plays really good football!). To be fair that list isn't too far off what's available from the merry-go-round and is absolutely terrifying. The Daily Mail (I know, I know), according to BBC Gossip page, is saying coach Tam Courts is getting it.
  2. Not for the first time, and guaranteed not for the last. The easy way you know Pressley is talking shite is whenever his lips are moving.
  3. That's as bad a comment as Peter Martin's on Ryan Gauld on his PLZ "show". "He's played mostly 2nd division football"
  4. To be fair Mr Alli you'd be as well holding a mirror up to your own support, as you've allowed many United fans a near copy and paste about Dee fans. Many many Dees seem to spend their time posting about United more than their own club. It must be something that afflicts fans of rivals that some of them seem to worry and obsess over the "other team" rather than their own as you see the same fans from other 2 club cities. For me I'll spend as much time thinking about Dundee as any other club, other than when Derby days are here or when discussing things with Dee friends. Others on both sides seem to be unable to do that
  5. At least we've won it in the last 30 years, unlike his beloved Aberdeen In 30 years United 5 finals 2 wins Aberdeen 3 finals no wins. If we haven't covered ourselves in glory, I'd hate to hear his, description of Aberdeen.
  6. God knows. Got suckered into responding ages ago to some pish he was spouting. Been blocked ever since, the delicate flower. Wasn't even directly to him. Boy was a clown in SPL days and is still a clown. Another of those that doesn't understand the tie to a club and that supporting a club isn't all about winning or playing Juventus, Barca, or whoever every other week.
  7. This for me is a big, big gripe. They simply do not care one iota about broadcasting a decent balanced informative sports program. I always put it on at 2 to listen to the build up on the way to the game. There is no point now. As you say its irrelevant Old Firm* chat, even if the same subject has been done to death during the week. The chat is mostly inane, full of irrelevance and views from folk who obviously haven't seen, or know anything of the issues or form of players. Its poor, and as you say even after an afternoon full of football its ignored. Any details of the matches and discussions is an after thought. The commentary during games is certainly no where near the level of commentary of years gone by. It has been getting progressively worse over time, but to be fair on that point so has the tv commentary too.
  8. Someone's been getting media training from Billy Brown....
  9. That was a cracker, his foot makea.contact.with Edwards ankle and he then roles around holding his shin!! Was lucky considering the red and yellow cards given out for similar type over running the ball challenges recently.
  10. Having paid for the Rangers PPV for the last game at Ibrox I'd have to agree. The other lad really is abysmal.
  11. That's a pile of shite and says more about your bigotry than anything else! I appreciate that Sunday's edition would have been more appropriate for the rugby chat. This is a football forum, for football but seriously the amount arseholic "Tory c***s" pish whenever it's mentioned really pisses me off. Its a sport, like it or don't like it but f**k off with that shite.
  12. I heard the one about Asghar from my boss. The one he heard was that Asghar had walked after being told he couldn't bring anyone to the club! No problem at all, and I hope I've not offended you. Since I replied I've seen posts on East Football about it saying it's past the "isolation stage" and its positive cases. Who knows, hope it isn't true as that was the most balanced we've looked on the pitch for a long time against County and hoped for same again.
  13. Thought that was last week, with a player testing positive with the less accurate test and the NHS test clearing them? Seems to be the third time I've heard someone saying there is stories of a COVID break out at the club that hasn't happened. Not saying you're wrong, you may have been told the truth, but it seems to happen regularly.
  14. That's because Alassan Jones was signed for youth team, Kaddad & Martin were signed on Amatuer status short term made 2 appearances before leaving. Brandon Mason made his debut in the Falkirk debacle. Only the other 3 played much. Slater was a big disappointment as I had high hopes for him.
  15. With me I'd be biting my tongue most of the game to avoid going full on in front of my wee lad, listening to him complain about us not being very good and asking to go home early. He is told he'll sit and suffer 90 minutes and enjoy it! Before wandering back to the car driving home and getting patronised by the other half if she's not on shift. Although I suspect if we were at the games this.season I may have reached the sit with arms crossed, dejected in silence watching the way you look at someone that's let you down again! Then do it all again next game. We fans aren't right are we ?
  16. I wouldn't mind if I had confidence we will. We are 9 points off bottom place Hamilton, have won only one more game all season than them and currently our form is 1 win in 11. Average that over the course of a season and it's 3.45 wins in total. That is our current form. We will be lucky to stay in the league if that continues. We are currently bottom of the form table.
  17. I suspect you will not be alone. The fact that we may be able to go to games again over a year since we last did might pull us out of the slumber, but could you imagine going to Tannadice in similar weather to today to watch that? Bad enough when you can watch it on TV in the house with the heating on and unlimited supply of (decent) tea on tap ( or other beverage of your choice)? Going to the game sounds like hell at the moment!
