  1. Definitely didn’t have a couple of gins before lunch and a nice bottle of claret with it, no Siree: https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/tv/news/jimmy-tarbuck-house-hit-and-run-b2462981.html
  2. So do I! Christ, I find myself in the same demographic as Jacksgranda. If I were eligible I’d say I’m now worthy of a debut appearance in someone’s 2024 DP team.
  3. Away and send him on an errand to Screwfix for a pair of fallopian tubes.
  4. Surely no-one still bites at @Steelly 's permanent state of faux outrage? He's at it everywhere on the forum and it's clearly only an act to fish for bites to fill his day.
  5. EVs depreciate like stones and the margins between trade and retail price are currently massive . That he seems to have been seen driving away from WBAC without doing a deal suggests to me he wasn't at all happy with their offer and that was probably after having had a similar experience at a couple of main dealers.
  6. Aye, we did that to a pup when we were kids. Cue much anguish but the vet said that, basically, when they are young their bones are the same as tough rubber, almost impossible to break them. Gives everyone a fright at the time but the pup will have forgotten about it long before you (says me posting this 40 years after the event).
  7. This post has been troubling me all day. Can’t work out if I’ve got a male opinion, a suitably witty retort, or I should just leave well alone.
  8. Ok. Everybody play fair in the sandpit kids. Be nice to each other!
  9. 'mon tae f**k PnB!!!! The genuine solutiuon to this damp and mould problem is the oft misquoted and well overused trope: windows open and heating up full blast!
  10. Pure speculation on my part: Murrell bought the car with SNP money. He should have declared it as an employee Benefit in Kind to be taxed through PAYE (a moot point as it's electric and therefore any tax due would be minimal) and he's then gone on to sell the car. If the money went back to the SNP, other than the potential for a very small tax miscalculation to be corrected, there is no case to answer. If however he's trousered the cash himself, I'd say he's caught bang to rights.
  11. I disagree. But agreed that between them they were grossing £240/250k pa. No dependents, a fairly modest house, a half share in a Portuguese holiday villa and significant accumulated public sector pension contributions. The lifestyle seems to fit their means. An electric Jaguar would be well within their reach. All they have to do is come out, tell the media to FO, it’s their personal financial decisions and that there’s nothing more to explain.
  12. Shite (in my limited experience). I couldn’t believe the pressure generated by a AA battery powered water gun but by f**k did it rip into my gums. It lasted less than a week before it got fired into the bin. Back to good old inconvenient floss for me.
  13. I like you chief, but copying someone else’s homework is not - in my eyes - fair game. Sorry. Originality usually wins.
  14. Her stylist needs shooting. A fabulous looking woman worth a bazillion dollars dressed like a half baked drunk auntie.
  15. I have posted before about how in December we cobble together a dozen snaps from across the year into a calendar as a Xmas present for various relatives with pictures of His Lordship. Just now done, of this years final XII, here’s my favourite :
  16. My folks were told many years ago that the best security system you can get is a gravel driveway and a nervous dog. That’ll suitably deter any nefariants.
  17. …or maybe also too keen to ensure she didn’t do anything that might be adjudged to fall into line with WM policy?
  18. As my old granny used to say - ‘If ye can get past the smell son, ye’ve got it licked.’
  19. I work on my own so I have plenty time to talk to myself. I find it refreshing to debate the issues of the day with someone on a similar intellectual plane.
  20. The garage will be better placed but it seems to me just like ageing surface corrosion, their functioning/ safety doesn’t seem impaired.
